Geez, 1 game into 2012 and people are already showerting their pants!

Yeah, seems a lot of punters won't need their daily Metamucil until Thursday. :o

Why all the panicking after only one game.  trade and trade away the rooks while I sit back!!!  Think about the situation most of us will heve a large number of rookies from GWS and you are panicking just because they do not score 80+,  How many of your rookies last year scored more than 80 last year if yo can remember.
The true test of round 1 will be how your premiums score,  In my case I only had one of my 13 premiums on the field in Goodes.

port2012

im happy with my score.  572 from 7, wich was 5 rookies and mumford and goodes, stuffed up by havin mohr as emgercency.
still got 11 premiums to go and captain  plus magner ellis redden hargrave,

Ringo

@port - Who is your other sub and are they playing because if they are not and you have named Mohr as the emergency you can put them on the field and then get Mohrs score. This is another benefit of Partial lock out not just the Captain loop hole.
In my case i have McDonald on the pine named as emrgency , Magner is my other sub so if he is not named will put him on the field and pick up McDonalds 100 SC points.

port2012

i got ellis on field.     moher emg and  morris on bench. Would take mohr score. Doubt ellis could outscore him.   im thinking of maybe downgrading hargraves to a rookie. Is he a waste of money. If mohr ellis bugg guna score same as him. I can just start those 3 everyweek?

I have 8 for 673 which I am ecstatic about. I had 2 prems averaging 99% and 6 rookies that averaged 75%.

For rooks to average 75% is 25% better than I expected and predicted. Hopefully I have a this continue, then I should flog my league I'm in. ;D

With 11 premiums left, I feel like I have a solid side. My premiums will make the bulk of my score which will easily put me over the 2200+ mark which I set as my minimum.

If you have rooks scoring at 75% be happy.

282 for 4.  3 rookies played (Coniglio, D. Smith and Giles) along with Malceski.  Got Shiel, Kennedy and Bugg as emergencies, which will work out beautifully if another of my rookie defenders or forwards miss this week.

14 premiums and 4 rookies still to play...

As Ringo said you can use the loophole to get JMacs score. If you had him insted of Smith/Coniglio on the field you would have been much happier. Im on 500  from 6, lucky enough to have Bugg and Kennedy on the field(although was an educated guess being both named in the backs) as well as JMac. Had Sheil(silly me,no match fitness) on the field and hoping Redden can match Giles as he was on the bench.

with Bugg on the bench as emergency and thanking god for the quick last minute swap of MacDonald onto the field and Shiel onto the bench.

There will be a few who only had McDonald, Kennedy and Bugg playing. Not many though. You're not in trouble. It's a long season. Kennedy might do his knee next round and score 3. You just don't know how things will pan out.

+1

well said, and for every time you bench the wrong person and miss points, there will be a round where you get it right and the guy that got it right "that time" gets it wrong "this time"

The race is long..

You could be 800 points behind overall, and come out of the bye weeks leading the pack. The byes this year are going to be hell with injury, suspension and players not being picked.

396 from 5 (Goodes, Malceski, Bugg, Kennedy and Shiel) Very happy indeed. Jmac on bench....but hey, you can't win em all! Glad I didn't Captain Mummy or Goodes.....was tempted though!!

Think im 366 from 5 players. 4 of them were GWS rookies.
