McDonald probably did deserve 2 games.

What i dont understand is how players can get punched in the ribs when the ball isn't remotely nearby and not even reported?

Conigilio copped a punch to the ribs, think it was 3rd term, while the ball is about to get kicked in after a minor score and nothing is done.

Quite frquently happens during the season

wouldn't that warrent either a free kick, fine for rough conduct, or reported??

There was a report against someone who hit Coniglio but it was ruled out (from AFLP_Keane on twitter).  Force wasnt strong enough to warrant a report (or something like that)

Colliwobblers

agree with you 100% but its not spectacular like a head high contact of any type.

I think a fair bit of the rough stuff should definately stay in the game.

Only get rid of the dirty stuff and the dangerous stuff.

As for this particular incident, it was reckless so he needed to be reported, 3 weeks can reduce to 2, bit harsh intention should be considered also and he just intended a fair hard bump unfortunately he went a little high.

1 week max or a reprimand with a BIG fine would have been more suitable, cant have players fearing to bump sheppherd and play the game as it was meant to be played.

Are you talking about McVeigh vs. Coniglio?

Because that wasn't even considered as a rib punch

Capper

Mind you if it was Barry Hall, Buddy or even Milne they would have got atleast 3 weeks

elephants

Wouldn't have minded an extra...

free kick - kick - goal (10 points) on to Coniglio score...
