I can do any one of my mid-pricers to Bock. I am considering.

I wish I had Kennedy though...

I think keeping what you got is the best method. Although i have hargrave down back as 6th defender and im getting 2nd thoughts about his selection. Got Just enough spare coin for lake or might even go backwards for clake. But i dont think its worth making changes to get the best of the best of the emergencies. The more i think about it the clearer my mind becomes.

True, although Kennedy's score does give us the flexibility to start Zorko and not waste a trade when he plays in Round 2 (optimistic) or 3 (most likely).

I think it's a terrible idea personally. The people seriously considering it are just smarting that they didn't start Bugg, Kennedy, whoever. It's round one for crying out loud, and no-one had any real idea how any of these players were going to fly. Just be happy that you've got them in your team at all! Play these sorts of silly games next week; this week, the name of the game's getting thirty players who are playing from day one.

Just think how silly you'll look if Neale doesn't play next week. Will have been a very expensive thirty points or so.

there is risk no doubt,,,
but for example if u pick zorko(lets say hes not named rd.1) so u can get kennedy's score, true you dont know if he will even be named rd.2 let alone ever be named..  likewise if u select a rookie that is named there is no guarentee of that player being named rd.2 either.
that extra 40-50 odd points can be quite a few ranking positions come years end..
picking a non starter has risk, but if its someone that you wanted in ya team anyhow then its not the worst idea in the world

If you want someone like Zorko in your team that badly, you're better off waiting until he's played two games to see how he's going. That way you can also trade him in for someone who's already gone up in price and make money in the process, as well as giving yourself time to find out whether Zorko really is the 'must have' everyone seems to think. He might be a complete hack.

...And as you say, that's if he's even named in round 2 at all! If not you've got him clogging up a spot on your bench for god knows how long which might end up costing you more than just 40-50 points.

I'm also going to be really outrageous and declare that 40-50 points this week is going to have absolutely nothing to do with your overall ranking come season's end.

if for example zorko(could be whoever) plays rd.2 u really wont be able to get him if u dont start with him ,because any cash cows would of only had 1 price rise and not be ready for trading out..
good thing about fantasy footy is ,there are more than one way to skin a cat(not a geelong reference)
