Is Caddy as important to Suns as Coniglio is to GWS? Will he play as many or more games? Is he as mature?Would rather Caddy, know he's a gun and the Dons chased him hard.Already got Smith,Shiel and JMac. What do you guys reckon?Sorry if there's another thread on this Couldn't see one.

I dont know his actual Eff stats but Caddy has had a DT average quite a bit higher both last year and in this years NAB cup which suggests he does butcher the ball a little bit.. go Coniglio

have a look through the forum been about 10 of these polls in last few days

Got both only reason I would consider getting 1 of them out with be to upgrade elsewhere as they are probably the highest priced rooks out there but I figure you get what you pay for with these 2, should have great JS and average 80+ and make some nice coin up until rd 10 or so just nice and juicy for an upgrade.

i'd go caddy. just that when GWS gets all senior players available, where is he on the pecking list of midfielders (coniglio)?
swallow last year was probably no. 4 mid behind gazza, rischitelli and harris. coniglio is prob around no. 6??
i don't think the extra 60-90k is worth it for coniglio.
and caddy is entering that mid priced area, if he is just a cow for your team - grab someone 100k cheaper yeah???!!

Good advide.Cheers. but i would have thought Coniglio is 4th also behind only Ward,Palmer and Scully. The role of he or Caddy would be not only to be a cow,but offer that extra JS as i only have 3 prems. Pretty sure most people are thinking the same thing in picking one over a 100k cheaper rookie. I mean there's Magner but the rest(Neale,Zorko,Mitchell,Kerridge,Ledger) have very questionable JS(except maybe Zorko who is injured) the others are all GWS who will be rotated. i guess what I'm asking is Caddy just as good/likely to play as much/more as Coniglio. Would rather Caddy as that's one less GWS,but don't want to pick him just on that. Would rather a 100k rookie but WHO IS THERE? We won't know till next week. Stupid partial lockout!

in reply to what you are talking about above, i think caddy is a very safe pick and should average 10-15 more than coniglio. i would say coniglio is 4th in line. but caddy is a jet and has been to arizona twice, is mega fit and remember how hard the bombers played to get him?? should play the whole season i would say and you can feel safe with him in your side. think coniglio may cop the vest at least once in the year just to give him a break

So is Caddy also about 4th in pecking order in GC mids behind Ablett ,Swallow and Rischetelli? Is he ahead of Stanley,Prestia,MacKenzie etc.? That's 6 already and Hunt makes 7. Less chance of being sub/ subbed than Coniglio?

yeah stanley will play high half forward and i think prestia and mackenzie will play out on the wings to use their pace and booming kick respectively to break the lines. yeah i think caddy is much safer in avoiding the vest. i don't think coniglio will be the sub very often at all either. its just he is in a new side, and its his first year, so i wouldn't be surprised if he is the sub once, maybe twice this year with sheedy just erring on the side of caution with his prized pick. i think david swallow was also named sub once last year in a similar situation. but expect caddy to play every game barring injury and the same with coniglio.
