It would be great if everyone who starts a new thread had to comment on at least one or two other people's threads before doing so ....  this is the whole point of a forum .. unfortunately not everyone seesm to understand this.

I know this can't easily be enforced but perhaps a reminder from one of the moderators wouldn't hurt ...

Just a suggestion ...

yes it is the point of the forum however sometimes you don`t need to comment on a topic because
1.someone else has already commented with the answer you might have
2.the topic may have already been done to death and all you need to do is actually search for the answer on here

True ... but sometimes reinforcement in numbers can be handy ... sometimes i use the fact a lot of people agree with something to find a point of difference in my team  :)

I also hate seeing someone post and have 100+ reads and no comments when they asked for some ... so i make a point of going in and providing feedback if i can.

Remember that a lot of the views come from other IP adresses with no account.

I find most accounts put at least a small amount of input in once they view something

mpollock

Good point ... never thought that some of these people may not have accounts ...

Agree partly with you say but if we were to comment on everything we would be never of FF.

In the days leading up to first Lockout I counted in excess of 200 teams requiring rating and even I found it an impossibility to comment on all so I viewed all but was selective in commenting mainly due to the fact that of comments I would have made had been made. Tried to comment on teams with no comments to keep up the reputation.

As  mail has said it is hard to identify people with no accounts so maybe this is something the mods may look at to identify posts by account holders.  Maybe an * after the post name.

I try to give advice as much as I can but if I view a thread and do not simply have an answer, I won't give one!  ;)
