I have asked a similar question on Goodes on another thread but haven't got much response. If Swans are killing GWS could Goodes be rested more up forward (or on the bench)giving players like Parker and Jetta more mid time? He seems to take a back seat against easier teams when swans are coasting, which could happen alot with their easy early draw. He lifts for bigger games and starts off slow so am starting to doubt if I should start with Goodes now. He is second most expensive after Buddy. Having said all that I don't want to miss out if he pumps out huge scores early, but this isn't as definite as some people seem to think. What do you guys think about Goodsey? I'm now undecided :-\

shnooshp

Keep Goodes, and enjoy the early wins. He will score 150+ on Saturday

Normally it's the fringe players or small forwards who benefit the most against the noob teams.

You're picking Goodes for the whole season, not one match. Get him and just sit back and relax. He'll take care of business.

Its true that the lesser known players like Parker and Jetta should get more points, but Goodes will be getting near the ball regardless of whether he's forward or mid.

I'd only be worried if they played him in defence  :P

Bosh

No chance of being rested, it's the perfect chance of getting his season of too an excellent start!

I know he's not gonna sit out half the game or anything, I just worry with Goodes that he rests himself so to speak. When his team are winning comfortably. And what's to stop the coach managing his best player by limiting his mid and field time? Just not convinced he's an automatic 100 let alone 150.

Would I rest myself against a crappy team? I certainly wouldn't there's heaps of oppurtunity to rack up goals, possesions etc.
