Have Dyson Heppell in my backline so I had a look at the advanced stats for the game and found he only played 53% game time.
Makes his score of 80 look pretty damn good!
What does everyone else think of him this year?

I think its still pre-season and that intensity is lower which suits his game style (no offense, still young.)
I think he will average around the same maybe a bit more which is still pretty good.

Different opinion here CW.
Having played half back all year he wasn't getting much hard-ball and was honestly hovering around the outside of packs. Heppell will get no where near as much uncontested free ball as last year. Plus, opposition teams know about him. Outside of Watson there isn't anyone else worth tagging in te Bombers outfit so I would expect a bit more attention this year.
For these reasons I am leaving others to spend 400K+ on a 19 year old :)

fair points, however there is stanton and zaka to keep track of in thier midfield, also he still seems to be the hovering around the outside type, and 8 tackles in a game suggested he is 19 year old who can mix it up with the men.

Still your point is very valid, and if i had more faith in a round 11 bye defender or enright or broughton I would probably leave Heppell out

this is me hoping but not 100 confident on Heppell, but the options are limited somewhat having 3 round 13 bye backs already 1 too many.

Okay mate, this is just my opinion but I hope there is some evidence you see and I'm not just rambling :)

Stanton would be unlikely to cop a tag due to his disposal efficency (or there lack of) and Zaha is a little too much in the fwd line for a tag imo. They would need a backmen tagger for him... Some one like A. Selwood ;D

Fair enough in picking and I can see why you would BUT I feel there are more reasons to leave him alone and look to upgrade to him later in the year when we can see how he handles more attention and a different position. Don't let me shape your team though champ, I'm sure you've done your research :)
