really dont know why everyone is worried about starting rookies , there are an abundance of them and if they arent named round one they dont get a spot in your side easy , all you need to have is 2 rookies in each postition as back up
too much emphasis on all the sites on rookies , we all know who they are now and there are heaps of them in each position to choose from , in reality they will score about 40-70 make you cash and trade em out , more focus should be on your keepers and smokies
i havent changed my rookies until next week , they are the ones i want but they are there to fill up spots so i can arrange my team around them

having said that you still want the best of the rookies. maximising cash is key

Does anyone know if the stats from the regional games will be available like they have been throughout the rest of the NAB ?

dont forget, other than Lecca Eagles are still missing two forward who will without doubt be in their best 22 (Lynch and Kennedy)

LE as much as I know you want to pick Stevens, as a fellow Eagles fan I really don’t think he is a good choice this season unless there is an injury to one of the midfielders ahead of him.

Masten and Gaff have jumped ahead of him in the pecking order following the end of last season/this pre-season and Rosa was always ahead of him once he returned fully from injury.

McGinnity and Selwood are important as taggers/shutdown players and I don’t see Stevens in our defence or  that his goalscoring skills are good enough to earn a spot in out forward line.

The NAB Cup team line up is fairly similar to the Eagles best 22, with a couple of obvious exceptions.
Kennedy will come in for Lycett (who I assume is just in the team so they can sub out Cox at halftime) and Shuey will find his way into the side (probably for one of Hams or Hill).

Stevens is, however, the ideal type to be the sub â€" running midfielder who could come on and make an impact â€" and I see him taking over the Kermit guernsey from Gaff this season.

I’m really not surprised that the fringe players who were doing alright in the NAB Cup have been dropped now we are getting to the serious part of the season â€" Brennan, Dalziell, Stevens, Weedon.

On that Memphistopheles, what's the word on Strijk? He played well in his first year while injuries derailed his second season last year. Where is he now?
