My last team post before rd 1

This is the team I am trying out this week going into rd 1.

Cash Left: $51,100

Backs: Goddard, Shaw, Deledio, Suckling, Gilbert, M.Clarke, B.Ellis (Docherty, Darley)

Mids: Swan, Ablett, Rockliff, Sloane, Shiel, Magner (Kerridge, Neale)

Ruc: Jacobs, Giles (Redden, Stephensen)

Fwd: Franklin, Goodes, Fyfe, Martin, Dangerfield, Porplyzia, Hall (Zorko, Treloar)

In a bit of trouble come bye rounds with my defenders but hoping to upgrade a couple by then.

pretty gutsy picking sloane and gilbo, i like them myself but just can't pick them. sloane looks good, but crows seem to have

an abundance of mids all of a sudden, so much so that i'm thinking of trading out thompson, thinking that he won't be

spending his usual time in mids. gilbo, i've had nearly every year and i'm just keeping an eye on him atm

I have changed Gilbert to Lake. I think Lake will score as much if not more than Gilbert and he is $95,000 cheaper.

As for Sloane I think this will be his breakout year. He has been playing well in the NAB Cup and that midfield has been rotating well. Look at the Pies midfield, it is full of stars and they all score well.

Backs:
Docherty should be ready to go, just needs to be named. Rest are good, nice unique in Gilbert.

Mids:
Good choices, no problems. Watch Neale and Magner though, they may not be ready.

Rucks:
All good, the same as my rucks.

Fors:
Don't know about Dangerfield AND proplyzia, maybe only one. Zorko is in doubt for Rd 1, try Tom Couch from the Dees instead. Billie Smedts is still an option if you want, hasn't shown much in pre-season but i'm still considering him.

OVR: 8/10
