Hi All,

With Bailey injured (again!!) who will step up? The hawks will be flying this year and the lead ruck will see a fair bit of the ball.

With Big O being a little underwhelming in the NAB cup could this be an opportunity to add Hale to the forwards as he is more likely to get more rotation through the middle and will it perhaps allow Pattison to be elevated with Bailey to go to LTI? Will Broc get the job?? He is a big unit and although at an awkward price might be a good unique?

Who do you think will fill the void??

Bosh

Hawks got Hale firing and roughy to come back. Their Rucks should be fine without Patto.  Giles and Redden on your bench, maybe Jenkins if one of first two on your field.

could be that a ruck line of COX/Premo , Redden, Giles, (insert random Hawk ruck)

If Pattison does get the call up the DPP with Hale in the Fwd's could be a masterstroke for Bye rounds etc

Roughy's achillles will go "PING" if he is jumping around in the ruck. Not likely to be doing much other than mark and kick goals.

The Hawks have a 6'6" bloke who is itching to play midfield.
Can Jump.
Can run all day long.
Would be a huge headache for opposition coaches.
Ruck/Forward MPP for Buddy next year.

In regards to the Hawks team they will bring in Broc to help Hale as they wont risk Roughie in the ruck after last year.

In regards to fantasy i dont think Patty will get a game this year, so go with Giles, Big O or Redden

The biggest problem that this brings is that we are going to hear talk about this for about an hour tonight

Roughy will play down back.  Our rucks will be Hale and McCauley / Lowden.  The fact that McCauley is picked for this week (in what looks like our Rd 1 team) is a sign that he has first crack at it.

I have been thinking the same thing. It could give the opportunity to have Cox + Giles (Redden + Big O) and throw Hale into the forwards with his DPP. If the 3 rooks in the ruck pays off then you have a stronger fwd line with a bit of extra $$, but if it doesn't work then you have Hale to fall back on and shift into the R2 position.

Having watched big Broc play at the Lions, he has some potential. Though I do think that Giles/Redden/Big O are all ahead of him at this stage in terms of development.
