Really struggling with this decision. Leaning towards McDonald because he has the best job security and could make a decent $ cow. But probably wont play every game, considering Neale, but where is his spot on freo's list? Not sold on Hogan, but promising numbers, also with Gibson. Trealoar still as ? over injury. Clifton and Horsly were really just add ins, not really considering them. thoughts?

i assume magner and shiel are playing on the field, i tried to vote for hogan but accidentally picked trelor

IM going for Shiel, Magner, Hogan and Mcdonald/Gibson

From the list above, I reckon Clifton has the best job security but i would be more inclinded to pick Neal because of his cheaper price tag and should also get games early. Lyon loves him.

Also consider Koby Stevens! He plays primarily as a midfielder, but also has the versatility to play off a half forward flank. He is strong, mature aged and ready to go. Koby's contested ball winning skills, attack on the ball, overhead marking, consistency, work-rate and leadership skills have all been described as strengths of his. I think Pattison Stadium will really accomodate his style of play.

He's only played the two qtr's of AFL in 2011 (as a sub) for 24pts and 12pts, but he had an outstanding season with East Fremantle in the WAFL. He was named one of West Coast best on ground last week vs Port Adelaide picking up a 15 disposals for 77dt pts and will only improve with more game time.

The DT talk boys have also talked him up with similarities to Luke Shuey!

From all reports, he's finally over his injuries and has had a full solid preseason. He will probably be competing for a spot in the team but i'm pretty confident he will be named in round 1. LOCK ALL THE WAY TO THE BANK!

Definately worthy as one of your "benched midfielder" underdog. He's starting on the ground for mine :)

Carn West Coast Eagles!   ;D

(and Magner should be a lock when he's elevated of course)

I still think Stevens will find it hard to get consistent games with the current West Coast midfield.

I'd Clifton. Beast at North Ballarat and should play most games for GWS.

Correct, forgot to specify  :-[

Clifton - has to play they need his experienced head on the field all day every day.

Clifton - Shiel(if fit) - Magner(will be elevated) - Pfieffer/Hogan/Gibson (whichever is listed in round 1 teams)

As a straight up pine-rider, Id go with James McDonald. By all rights he should score well when he plays (which should be often in the first half of the season, according to word out of the club) plus he is cheap.
