Money no object but have 6 players to fill 5 positions and can't split them.

Every time I go through these players I find more reasons to keep them. My midfield is set in stone so dpp is already catered for and doesn't come in to further contention. Well here we go:-
L Franklin   A Goodes   Fyfe   S Johnson   D Beams   D Martin. Goodes plays better in the second half of the season usually, but Sydney has it easy earlier this year. The only way I could keep all would be to go without either Ablett or J Selwood and don't think that's a good idea. Anybody have any thoughts please ??????

C'mon people someone must have some thoughts ??

keep beams he should only get better. ditch goodes for the reasons you mentioned. easier draw but always mean big scores + he is a year older

Reckon you're right PN,  just in passing have you noticed how many defenders there are under $300,000 who could be point scoring bargains ? Cuppla brodies at Adelaide for starters.

My order for the 6 would be Franklin (must have), Fyfe, Goodes, Johnson, Martin and Beams. (Can not really separate Martin and Beams so select one of them.  I think both will end up with near identical scores but lower than the other 4.)

Thanks Ringo, it's a good problem to have, but a mongrel to solve. May come down to a last minute decision, but when I get in this situation I usually take the most expensive as it's easier to swap down with money over. Thanks again.

id look at there break evens and consider dropping the player least likely to meet their break even, bring in a young rookie and trade your main man back in later

Kept Ablett and J Selwood, dropped Swan ( will trade him back for rd 13 ) put Fyfe in the middle and added Johnson to the forward line. Thanks all !!!

Ringo, why the love for Johnson over the happy Chappy, hammies?

Are you really sure on Beams. I was early in the SC pre season but just can't justify him over Martin. Not sure of his JS (position-ally) over midfield time for Martin. The Pies now have a question mark over that HF possie with Krak & Caff going down.

So as much as I think Beams was due more mid time under Bucks, is that now going to be the same? You have to factor in Beams high scoring at the end of last year was when the Pies were starting to struggle & more of 3300 points were up for grabs.

Ringo

Only answering Sabres question that is why no Chappy. (My personal top 6 would differ slightly)  Only my opinion on Beams and Martin as I can not really split them at the moment imo based on NAB Cup form and last years form when both averaged around the same.

Stevie does have a decent price tag and will surely drop at some stage but I wouldn't put Beams in either. The should both be up and down enough to pick them up cheap later if you still want them.

get rid of beams. little rumour is that he has gone 3 strikes and the afl is covering it up. he hasnt trained or played yet so we will see
