QuoteThe hot competition for spots in Fremantle’s backline this season is keeping the club’s defenders on their toes, which is a good thing according to Michael Johnson.

Cicjose

he has to say its a good thing because IMO he was going to be the first dropped

last year save for the injuries that we got

valkorum

Again with the negative Cic - why cant you look for the positives?

Cicjose

im just pointing out Johnson himself said his season last year wasn't good and

he wants to prove he can lead the back 6 whoever that may be.

So why bring up the negative, talk only of the positive and good things will happen

Two negatives make a positive Valk  ;)

I have foreseen CJ's methodology in his commitment to foresight, for every double negative he posts he becomes positive according to tautology.

CJ is an alternative thinker,a challenger to the norm. Not one I agree with on most occasions but he does challenge the status quo. shower he's been booed a bit (yes I've even booed him) but in the great words of Prospector, it's the difference of our ideals that helps crystallize our opinions for the collective.

Feeding the wrong type of fertilizer to your roses does not always help them grow.

I understand your words Roost and normally heed your advice but I am forever hearing negative words from a supporter.  How are we to break the stigma that the rest of the league thinks of us if only negative words are being spoken from within.

CJ'S opinion may be of the 'Devil's advocate' derivative and only serve to help clarify the narrow minded ness of those in control who prefer to run with 'blinkers on' every season.
Rise above is what Lyon will have to do, break the mould. He has the tools, but can he keep the roof on the shed? Freo need to play within expectation, not above it, and they will secure further finals glory  ;)
