One of the first lessons taught when playing SC, especially cheap good performers is pick the number one draft pick.

Last year was the same deal, think most people picked Swallow. This year though patton is out so Coniglio basically has become the 1 draft pick seeing as they were picked at the same time.

At a price of $191k is this the year you break the commandment and not pick the high draft pick, or Coniglio all the way? There are potentially 70k cheaper options in GWS alone, so spend or not spend the dough???

How did you go with Watts?? Mind you he is the only one of the last 20 not to fire yet, a bit hard though at the dees chf.

Im not going with Coniglio or Swallow this year. These guys might be ok for a year but if it wasnt for GC or GWS they would be a couple of yeas off playing full time in a team

I think youve answered your own question.. Hes overpriced and there are just as good, if not better options for 70k cheaper. Shiel and mcdonald are 2 that come to mind in his own side

watts is not a genuine top 10 draft pick, he shows signs of being a (good) player, at melbourne where it's not hard.

his highlight reel contains him bursting out of the middle, borking a bloke then kicking it along the ground for 40 metres and not chasing it.

will be remembered as a should've been.

if he was any good he should've been thrown in the deep end like martin and trengrove and had atleast some impact early.

very skillful player in the magoos and school sides but not good enough to mix it with the men.

sorry to answer your question, no i wouldnt pick coniglio due to the reasons above also.
