Howdy guys! Another thread on how to deal with byes :) initially i was going to spread it out and create an even load! eg. 3-3-3 in backs...3-2-3/2-3-3/3-3-2 in mids...2-1-1/1-2-1/1-1-2 in rucks...3-3-3 in forwards! But i just read an article on footy tragic and he suggests this how team should be set out (if looking to win all 3 bye rounds):

BACKS:

Two players from R11, Three or Four Players from R12, Four or Three players from R13.

MIDS:

Two players from R11, Three from R12, Three from R13.

RUCKS:

Two players from R11, One from R12, One from R13

FORWARDS:

Two players from R11, Four or Three from R12, Three or Four from R13

What do you think is the way to go?

that sort of formula may only work for premos, how are you to know which rooks will be cashed in and which ones on the

bubble will be bought in

dunno

i've spent hours and hours trying to figure out the best way to go, and bugger me if it can be done. i think the best way

is to not overcommit yourself to more than 2 premos with the same bye on any line. the same with rookies altho' most will

be gone by rnd 11

I think the best structure is to have no more that 2 premiums sharing the same bye per line. Take the best rookies regardless of their byes, its going to be the subsequent trades when you trade the rookies out and bring new rookies and premiums in that will really determine how strong your team is come those bye rounds.

Def 2/3/4; Mid 2/3/3; Ruck 2/1/1 Forward 2/4/3 making 8/11/11. Def and Forward structure can switch, Lines also include subs and if a DPP is in mids then there is opportunity to use which I do in round 13. (info from ringo)

That'll probly be my structure along with not having more than 2 premiums in each position with same bye :)

Mozza & Jayman - those last 2 posts make as much sense as anything written so far.

Thanks.

this pretty much say all you need t know, "no more that 2 premiums sharing the same bye per line"
