Tried playing around with byes and catering for them - will eventually get some rookies in to allow dpp coverage.
Also had a spare 120k or so - and decided to upgrade Daisy to Pendles (extra 800 points last year...)
My biggest concern is how boring a team it is - basically the same as everyone else's!  :(

What do you think? Any suggestions?

Dangerfield is such a brave pick. I could never imagine myself willing the little P*&ck on!

Sidebottom has a good name.

Why Pendles at such a high price - surely he'll drop and then pounce on him.

Are 3 gun mids enough to start?

Yeah Dangerfield is a definite dark horse, i'm hoping he can step it up by getting regular midfield time. Will monitor during pre-season though for sure!

Pendles was a last minute inclusion for Daisy - Yeah he'll drop some value eventually (remember everyone said that about GAJ a couple of years ago?) but how many points will I lose by not having him from the start?

3 gun mids is another risk, however I would suggest that mid rookies are MUCH more likely to increase their value as cash cows than Fwd/Back rookies - and will hopefully be worth 75+ ppg until they are traded out. I should have 6 gun mids by the time the byes roll around.

Just out of curiosity, if you aren't willing to concede early points with Pendles, surely stocking a back/fwd line with keepers and dropping points in the midfield is one and the same, especially if the mids is most likely where the points will be scored? I would look at downgrading a gun in the forward and probably the back line and upgrading a mid. Plenty of DPP options though

Have thought about that long and hard Red, however i'm banking on NDS, Pendles and GAJ to bring in 120+ ppg (so 360+ between the 3) and I thought to bring in some mid price prems they might get 400-450 between 4... If one of my rookies averages above 60 then i've got the 4 mid pricers just about covered.

The difference between ONE extra mid prem and TWO back/fwd rookies would have to be pretty massive.. I'm betting my rookies will gain some cash very quickly so I can offload them to get in more mid prems. Have been burnt in the past by terrible back/fwd rookies - can't be bothered with the headaches.
