First draft, I fully expect several of the rookies I've picked at this stage not to play early/much of the year so obviously I'm just waiting to see what happens over the course of the NAB cup, Horsely will be starting in my team should he get a run.

93K in the bank, plenty to tinker with, have never had Drummond before so I haven't been burned and even with the cash, under about 530k there really aren't all that many great defensive options so I'm happy to roll the dice on him and see how long he lasts while I watch the rest of the market.

Really torn between Rockliff and Thompson, using Fyfe as an upgrade target as he recovers from his shoulder surgery, and will establish a MID/DEF link when I work out which of the rookies I've chosen in the MID thus far won't be playing early.

huge cajones in picking drummond but sounds like he should be right for round 1
to me you seem a bit light either end of the ground, particularly in forwards when youre relying on watts and bundy having break out years
at their prices i would only be picking them if they were keepers, maybe upgrade one and downgrade the other?

rest of the team looks very solid, mids are huge, did have thompson myself but opted for gibbs
rucks really strong, set and forget

also think tom couch is rookie listed at melbourne so watch that?

Thompson is a great pick just be prepared for his 1 kick to 5 handball ratio sometimes stops him pumping out 120+ scores but doesnt matter when he finds the pill 40 times which he can also do.

I'm actually ok with staying on Drummond for as long as I can and burning a trade upgrading him to an ultra premium DEF if need be because I don't think there's any super value below that. With ~90k in the bank to start off with I feel it's a risk I'm willing to take.

Watts I fully expect to have a breakout year and again, kind of like the Drummond situation there's not all that much value floating around. Christensen avg 83 last year when he wasn't the sub and I don't think he will be the sub this year so I feel safe in picking him.

Like I said will definitely watch where the rookies are at before Round 1, I think Couch has fantastic scoring potential though and should he be elevated I'll be starting him.

Will likely ditch Rowe, I originally was considering Roughead in the ruck so I had him there for the MPP.

Thanks for the feedback!
