Barlow/Rook Ruck vs Rook Mid/ZSmith

I've got 4 Prem Mids. I have Leuy/Giles/Big O.

Do I have Barlow as my 5th Mid and a Rookie Ruck (Rowe, Redden, Derickxz)

OR

Do I have a Rookie Mid (pick ANY) and Zac Smith to partner Leuy.

Thoughts???

I've thought about starting a rookie in the rucks but I'm not overly confident they'll score too well. I think Zac Smith is a great pick and I would be more confident starting a midfield rookie.

Barlow will out score smith so choice is easy. Other than last yr 4th ruck is not needed so if they play but don't score the best then no stress. Rookies in all other spots will turn over and turn over again to use all your trades.

4th ruck is a placeholder and nothing else, it always has been in yrs gone by somnot sure why this yr is dif.

But comes down to would you rather Barlow or smith because Barlow will not be cheaper again so I would take advantage if that, he will prob rise the same as a mid rookie making you the same money anyway.

But hey I do seem to have a dif view on playing the game say you may not want listen to me :o

One of those starting rucks will score the same if not better than a mid rookie and Barlow more than smith so what makes you more pts

structure wise i'd have barlow as m4 then a rookie and maybe a premium as r2 imo but upto whetherr u think barlow or z.smith will score better as mentioned

You might be right but I wouldn't be so quick to write off Smith. Just look to Goldstein last year to see what a young ruckman is capable of.

Call me an idiot but I don't think its a given that Barlow will outscore Smith. Don't get me wrong, Barlow is a great player and an even better pickup but I think Smith is something special. Saying that i don't have either as well.

Barlows ceiling is so much higher than Zacs. and is only $30k more
