Hi mate,

Your team is pretty good (top 1000 is a big call though - I'm guessing that was said tongue in cheek!).  There's a lot of rumour re: Grima, but what I know is he costs nearly $400k and he only averaged 70 last year. So with that in mind your defence is a bit flimsy (Conca avg 50 in 2011, is Bower even gonna get a run?)

Obviously you're hoping Grima emulates his 2010 form, but that's wishful thinking at this stage, no more no less.

Love the rest of your team, quite strong really.

cheers for the response. yeh the subject was definitely said in jest but you never know...

you're right about grima being a risk however i've heard good word (not just from afl.com but from people associated with the club) that he is in great form on the track and back to full fitness so hopefully he is able to regain 2010 form because his style of play (long kicks and marks) definitely suits SC

conca looks to improve his scoring this year with talk he will be played more on the wing (especially with richmond's backline acquisitions in ellis and morris which should free up conca)

bower's spot in my team is tentative at the moment. was awarded best trainer in carlton's abu dhabi trip. ill keep an eye on pre-season form. if he gets games would prefer him over a rookie given his time in the system, bigger body, experience, etc

hibach

been toying around with my team a bit but think i've settled on a fairly solid lineup

rookies (and lake) subject to change given nab cup, teams, etc

would appreciate all comments/criticisms

thanks  :)

Solid team! The structure is fairly balanced with the premiums - midpricer - cheapie ratio in every position (awesome midfield!)

But I did see somethings.....

Looks like im the only one saying this (so u can ignore this part if you want), but I dont trust second year players, so Im not picking Heppell with a ten foot pole. There is a lot of pressure on him to perform again, like there was for hannebry, daniel rich and rhys palmer after they won their rising stars respectively. As you may know, they've been pretty ordinary ever since, especially there second year. I think Jack Grimes is a better risk in that department, even though you have got one in Lake, Grimes could do you well and if injury free, would score better than heppel.

Brilliant, dominant midfield.
Koby Stevens? Bit of an unknown to me, so i cant really judge him, but i would go James Mcdonald or Tom Mitchell instead, both tipped to go well this year.

I love players that i havent seen in many teams, which is why i love the jacobs inclusion. If 2011 was anything to go by, he will improve once again! Nice rucks.

Premiums and midpricers go deep in this forward line, well done! Zaha is an interesting one, for me, i think there are better options, N. Roo is tipped to go well, and i think can score better than Zaha on a good year. But still, a 90 average, MPP player is hard to go past unnoticed. I've had porpus on every one of my teams, and 90% of people say its not a good idea, so im following the herd on that one. Devon Smith is interesting, but i dont think he is tipped to go as well as someone  like Sam Rowe, but again, the MPP status. One last thing, IMO, at McIntyres price, i think Tom Couch is the better MPP. Im a melb supporter and i know he can step into the fragile midfield and make an impact at the age of 23. A rookie, but one who is eligible to play.

Very Nice team once again!

Hope i was helpful  :)

k stevens will be a gun, compared in many ways to shuey if he plays he is a great pick.

Great Team, not much to say except I would downgrade porps to a rook, like saad and use the money to upgrade jacobs or mcevoy not the strongest 2 ruck options for sure.

Strong Mid, solid DEF, solid enough FWD, solid enough RUCK, all adds up to a good side, nice work.

elli

seeing a lot of 5 premo midfields this year, could be worth spending the cash in another dept?

Hey hibach,

Yeah strong team mate.
Love the McEvoy unique pick.  He's in my side also.
I think you have 13 keepers there.
Love the porps but has he had his day?
I'm a dons supporter so I hope the E. Kavanagh pick pays off for you.
I heard from a pretty reliable source (My old lady who is a fu>king huge cats fan) that Smedts is third or forth in line to crack it for a game this year.
Something to think about
8/10.
Well done.

PICCOLLO

Cant fault that team.  Heppel is a contentious issue but if you want to back him, fair enough.
8.5/10  watch rookies and change where needed. Goodluck.
