Broughton is a risk IMO - showed what he can do when playing in the midfield last year which was awesome, but could be used as a shutdown defender which would kill his value.
Adcock and Porplyzia are injury risks, but could go nuts if fit.
Not entirely familiar with the rookies, but I don't think and of your mid rookies have F/M dpp, will be handy to have at least 1.

most teams seem to have both Zorko and Docerty in them.  I would play both as rookie mids as Zorko is M/f and Docherty B/m DPP players to give you further options and strength.  Just my opinion.
Not sure about Nic Nat as prem ruck though as you may leak points here.
Just personal opinion as well but I think Franklin is a must in forward lines this year.

Broughton will do very well under Ross Lyon I feel. Quite happy for everyone to jump off him and for him to be a slight pod.

I don't want to compromise my ability to jump on the real cash cows, rookie mids, by obsessing over having dpp. Especially now with the new system of trading there is even less need to have that swing rookie in place for shenanigans. Doubt dpp will have much impact on the byes either, not with 6 teams all having them simultaneously.

I feel NicNat is ready to explode this year, he was one of my first locks and even poor nab cup form won't sway me from that. Franklin is tempting but forwards tend to have the most price fluctuations, and I reckon he'll be the easiest of the top end prems to start without and pick up later. Porpy is cheap enough to warrant the risk, could nicely stay in the squad as a 7th forward. I had Adcock all last year, he looked great, I reckon he's come good.

I agree with both your comments on Broughton and Adcock I had Adcock last year as well and was not disappointed till he injured his finger.

The strategy I am looking at at the moment is how to utilise DPP to cut down on trades required.  With the new DPP trade it will still be a trade.  Strategies for byes etc will be interesting
