DREAM TEAM & SUPERCOACH

{also posted identical post in DREAMTEAM/PLAYERS FORUM.}

Hi All, there are a few points I want to make here and I will lay out the different ways the both Dream Team and Supercoach award points to players during games. For those of us that play both games it's handy to know who are DT STUDS but SC SPUDS or the other way around.

Because of the way players are awarded points in the two different games and of course the obvious difference in player pricing certain players may be must haves for DT or must haves for SC but not both.

I see the obvious difference being the way Supercoach punishes bad use of the ball where Dream Team works purely off disposals be they effective or not. Meaning Supercoach players with few "effective" disposals can outscore players with many"ineffective" disposals. Where DT just rewards the most disposals.

Please feel free to expand on this and name any players that come to mind that are particularly one or the other.

It's all good mate, not all posts are for everyone, and this sure as heck isnt news it's discussion between the differnces between picking a player for DT and SC.

Ziplock got me thinking after advising Newman is a SC gun but quite obviously a DT dud.

Okay cool. Came across as pretty blunt after such a long opening thread that's all.

Ziplock

I found it relatively interesting.

What I find annoying is the increased weighting of goals: behinds.

I feel in DT, where a goal is worth 6 points, but a behind only 1, that behinds are underweighted. To increase the weighting of goals, but not behinds annoys me- I'm sorry, but there is no way a behind is worth 1/2 of a handball.

if you try to tell me otherwise, get bent :P

lol Ziplock, spending some time over in the SC forums has taught me this whole topic may be one big can of worms.

I like the idea of SC having much better scoring ststem based on quality not quantity, but i also love the certainty of watchng the game as a DT'er knowing exactly wat each player is scoring as the game goes on.

Some like it one way some like it the other i guess, but for me i'll play both but i'll be watching the game and DT live scoring at the same time and i'll check SC after the game.

As for which players are good at which format i'll work that out with a bit of statistical reading up.

And yeah i agree 1 point for a behind is too low, fine if its a behind from 25 out in front but a behind from the boundry 50 out?? average it out at least give them 2 at the very least
