Chad McFarland: Tonight any doubt was eliminated... I am a GWS GIANTS supporter. For the first time I was cheering a team other than the swans, I even had my first taste of dislike for Goodsey and didn't care about my favourite player Kieren Jack, and was cheering the Giants as if they were playing the eagles.... which for those who know me is HUGE.

Whilst there were many rookie mistakes, there were many signs of future promise for the Giants roookies, and it's safe to say that after one awesome tackle Izzy (Israel Folau) became one of my favourite players (and soon as this whole house/moving problem is settled, I'll be buying a Giants #4 guernsey). "Experts" thought it's be a 100+ point thrashing, but it was a little over 10 goals, compared to the Suns debut loss of 119 last year, that was amazing. If the Swans were still my no#1 team I would be devastated by a 63-point loss, but for the Giants, I'm so happy, so proud.

They did so well when all the odds were against them. Wooden spooners in their first year... No way! These kids are going to pick up a few wins and finish about 10 - 12th, and maybe pick up to 6 - 7 wins, especially once some of the "more experienced" players come into the side. The Giants might not have won; but they sure have started on a positive note. Don't hate them when they start to dominate in a few years. My true team has finally arrived! Well done to every one at GWS

I was going to say. Well it might of been that idiot who posted those comments on the GWS. Firstly thinking GWS won't win the spoon is unthinkable, then saying 6 or 7 wins will get you to 10-12th. Is this guy serious? He has no clue...
