Why did he only play one game last year?

He is doing pre season training so should be fit by the time round 1 comes around

Because he's on the rookie list and Hams was elevated when players were put on the LTI list instead of Strijk. He could be a good option if he's able to play games due to injuries to teammates, but I'd rather not bank on that.
