Couldn't agree more Cruise - We lost 7 games by 15 points or less last year. Fitness was an issue last year but looking how the guys returned to pre-season training on Monday have to agree with vossies comments they look in much better shape than this time last year.

That said Ringo, don't buy too much into the pre-season hype/hope. Everyone is looking great, fit, conditioned and feeling excited in November.  Voss in particular will be talking it up, he needs to.

I think the road trip to Brisbane will be a tough one next year for many clubs. Could be interesting.

Cruise it is an observation from myself as well over the last 5 years and on the 3k run on Monday the muscle tones were the best I have seen.  Brownie is even doing his first pre season in 10 years.  As I have said in another post first 7 games will define our season as we play Carlton, Geelong and Collingwood (and just to upset you we have a pretty good record v Collingwood at the Gabba) all at home and have a round 3 clash with freo at Perth so if we are no worse than 3/4 I can see us surprising as our draw is not to bad for the second half. The only top 8 sides from this year we play twice are Carlton and West Coast.
