mate, don't let them scare you off naitanui. He will become the best ruckman in the league at some point, maybe even next year. Stick with him. I am. He played injured in 2011 and now he has had the surgery he will be even stronger. He is a good, slightly unique ruck selection this year which could pay massive dividends. The guy is an absolute jet. What other ruckman can break away from centre clearances like him. None. None now and none ever before. Select him.
Haha, thanks Spec! i felt the same at the start also. Am having 2nd thoughts though as the past couple of years i've had to settle with your 2nd tier ruckmen - and don't wish to again if he's 20pg behind the leading rucks. Totally agree he will improve his SC scoring at some stage but i do put Leuenberger in front of him atm with less competition and i guess i'm not willing to take a punt on him at this stage. If Cox wasn't around, I'd be on him in a flash! lol..
i'll keep an eye on things though.... thanks again :)

you have 4 super premiums in you mids, why not change that? Get better balance of your team, anyway good luck  ;)
Know what you're saying. As much it kills me to leave Pendles out, you're probably right. Also I know i'l be given a hard time with the fwd line but i really find this sooooooo hard to pick each year with not many 'locks'. Besides i see this is where many more mid options are looking to be..... How does this balance stack up then?? Thanks for your comments everyone, cheers :)

TEAM NAME: Incredibles Mark 2!!
DEF: B. Goddard, B. Deledio, B. Gibbs, H. Shaw, B. Lake, S.Morris?, B. Smedts (T.Mohr, W. Sierakowski)
MID: G. Ablett jnr, D. Swan, J. Selwood, D. Mundy, M. Barlow, C. Bartlett (S. Clifton, A. Treloar)
RUC: T. Goldstein, M. Leuenberger (R. Stanley, J. Giles)
FWD: L. Franklin, A. Goodes, P. Ryder, J. Grant, J. Lisle, J. Lamb, B. Newton (Z. Skinner, T. Walsh)
CASH LEFT: $14,100

Rookie fwds might include Zorko/Saad

I can count 2 true premiums in the fwd line (excluding Ryder), you need more  :-X

Still a very much Premium/rookie structure. Have foregone the MPP R/F and gone for West. Feel that it's not obvious at this stage who the best ruck will be so why spend it now! Have fun pulling apart....  :P

TEAM NAME: Incredibles
DEF: B. Goddard, B. Deledio, B. Gibbs, H. Shaw, S. Fisher, S. Docherty, T. Mohr (S. Morris, W. Sierakowski)
MID: S. Pendlebury, G. Ablett jnr, D. Swan, J. Selwood, T. Mitchell, C. Bartlett (C. Smith, A. Treloar)
RUC: M. Leuenberger, T. West (J. Giles, J. Redden)
FWD: L. Franklin, A. Goodes, N. Fyfe, T. Cloke, J. Lamb, M. Panos, A. Saad (T. Walsh, D. Zorko)
CASH LEFT: $127,200

This is your latest team so I'll rate that.

Defence- Doesn't seem to be many problems, clearly you've splashed the cash on it.  Never heard of Mohr or know much about Sierakowski can't comment on them.

Midfield- Looks pretty strong, Callum Bartlett?

Rucks- Just about the same as mine, Not sure Redden will play at all though probably reconsider him.

Forwards- Not sure on 3 rookies starting in the forward line.  Although individually they seem OK, I would reshuffle to account for that, because especially with two on the bench, that is too risky.  Who is Panos?  Not too sure on Lamb's chances either.

Overall, a good lineup, don't have too much to negate it by, so I guess it can be construed as a very good team.

Thanks JT - appreciate that! Yeah i've changed team around a bit toying with a few ideas and players. Basically think i'll be going though with a strong Backline & mids, 1 strong ruck and West + only 2 premium fwds with a couple of midpricers possibly- even Hawkins and J.Grant with a few mature rookies. Time will tell and will resend another team in time for your expertise!!  ;D
cheers

I think I have a similar mid field initially

S. Pendlebury, G. Ablett jnr, D. Swan, J. Selwood,

Geelong, Pies, & Freo bye is going to hurt :(.  I want to fit in mundy & selwood but I don't think I can.  On the other hand I don't want to leave out Pendlebury, argh...

Think we going to need at least 1 representative from Carlton in the mids.  I see them as a top 4 side next year.

well my latest is below - perhaps draft # 12 with another 2 dozen to come maybe before it really starts!! lol..
Have thought about Pendles and he is ALOT of money. Sure he had a good year last year and no doubt will again be in the top half dozen mids but for value i think the Mundy AND Barlow fit may work a biit better?? For 400k i can't see another mid pricer with as much upside as Barlow in any line so worth taking the risk seeing his injury was 'only' a break and should be the end of it barring another freak injury. As for Mundy, don't think Pendles is worth the risk of 15 ppg more in price at the start of season - here's hoping he drops and i can pick him up at the right time!!! And Barlow likely to be the one getting tagged may actually assist Mundy imo...
cheers  ;)

Ringo

I do not know how many teams are being constructed with byes in mind.  I am now re-looking at mine and will be refining on the week end (not a lot of time to put into this with full time work during the week) as this will be important if going for overall
Nice Team though
Thanks to Powerman this is a good simple look at draw and byes.
