I don't know whether suffocating space will work for Freo like it did the Saints, Subiaco seems to promote a more free flowing game than Docklands

You are talking about a team that most people expected to win at least one gf with the players they had, also there wouldn't be many teams in the comp that would have a positive win/ loss ratio against the saints for the last few years

i sort of disagree about the unloseable GF 2009 thing - after the Saints top-tier of Roo, Goddard, Dal Santo, Montagna et al they start to fall away to the the 'ex-pat' players such as Ray, (Freo reject) Peake etc so I think Lyon did the best with what he had - i do get that was the way he managed the list without blooding the youngsters so he made that bed and had to lie in it a bit i s'pose ...

so is a roaming half back flanker a good move for him or would you rather see him as a focal point up forward?

I think he should become our next CHF after Pav.
if u remember what Buddy looked like when he first came in there r similarities...

couple years of weights and... has the booming leg aswell ;)

Alot of footy commentators reckon that Lyon made a good decision in moving to Freo. But have to feel sorry for Harvey though biggest shock for him to go away and when he comes back find out he has no job anymore. Poor bugger !!!!

Personally Marcz, I don't think you would want to get Morabito to big..
Could affect his gamestyle like it did to Buddy Franklin.
That being said if he can thicken his core strength he would be identical to Goodes  :o

Just clarifying.  Mark didnt go away and come back to no job.  He was actually attending a club function that morning and then got told in the afternoon that he was no longer required.

Cicjose
