The Decisions I make are ALWAYS wrong!!

So many make or break 50/50 choices have screwed me this year:

*Round 11. Trading out B. Matera to either Fyfe/Sylvia. Both average around the 100 mark. Fyfe is 50k cheaper. Feedback from a fanfooty poll says Sylvia more reliable and fyfe could go down with shoulder injury. Sylvia goes on to average around 70 from that point and price drops from 480k to around $350k while Fyfe racks up 100's and climbs from $430k to $500k. Not to mention the week I traded him in Sylvia went down in the first quarter and Fyfe scored 120 odd.

*Even though I had scored the most points in my league midway through the season I was ranked 12th so had no choice but to burn trades to boost myself up. Every week my opponent would have average players that would smash me. I had Sandi go down and couldnt afford to waste a trade then I had Selwood suspended and held onto him to save a trade and thought would be a good P.O.D come finals time

*Managed to climb into 4th position so played qualifying final. Opponent didnt have Selwood so I put him as captain coming off scores of 145 155 and 126. playing against adelaide where he averages 130 odd against them he manages only 87 and I lose my final by 11 points.

*Just win my semi final in a game where his team was shot to pieces and my gun P.O.D's did their best to try and lose it for me. In my prelim I put GAJ as captain. So does she. Other big decision was to play either Broughton or Heppel. My opponent has both so its only a matter of me gaining the score of whoever scores will score higher. I go with Broughton cos I figure they not gonna play him if hes carrying that bad of an injury they would of rested him along with everyone else. With all the other injuries he should get more midfield time and even still he would have a lot of ball playing in the backline. He has more potential to bust out a big 100 and Heppel has had some quiet games and didnt expect a big one playing in defence against port. Broughton scored 70 and Heppel 86 and I lose by 5 points.

To make it worse if I had of won my first qualifying final I would have made the grand final based on the scores of the corresponding opponents.

Lost my final by 30 points..

Traded out Lower after his score of 10 and he comes out and gets 120 plus against Collingwood
(Who saw that coming !! Not me)

Traded in Kennedy for Pav and put Krak on the bench.. Cost me the game!!

Changed Captain from Pendles to Swan.. Cost me the game!!

Hurn and Otten played like spuds.. Cost me the game!!

My opponent had Mumford.. Cost me the game!!

You can just about go through every game you win or lose in supercoach and pick out the if's, buts and maybes..

Bottom line.. shower happens!! There's always next year.. Bring on the Summer BBQ's and beer  ;)

Good Luck to all the Grand Finalists 8)

stop been a bloody sook, thats supercoach, if u dont like it, dont play it...
my opponent had mumford and i didnt theres 170, we both had pav injured i chose boomer he chose fyfe, (60 off point diffference), broughton scores 70 and opponents poupolo scores 150.... I still won by 10 points..
half the thing about SC is luck, who would have thought a player who is in his first year would pull out 150, if there is anything this year has taught me its that shower players can have massive scores and screw ya, next year its a team of rookies and prems, no mid pricers coz they score just as much...
on my field i had fisher 70, broughton 70 and bench poupolo 150, lower 120... who would have thort

Here's my sook too. The two players i brought in for Pavlich and Sylvia, (Harvey and Rioli) went like a dogs breakfast whilst my opponent had Robbie Gray who played the game of his career. Lost by four. Oh dear! Cya next year everybody.

thats very unlucky!!! losing to robbie gray! mind you he is looking better this year. hopefully ppl get fooled and pick him next year. he'll go twang!
ah, the hard luck stories, well i've had a sweet finals experience scored over 2400 each week! got my rank to almost in top 1000 (1200 and something) from floating between 2000-5000 overall all year.
i cracked it last friday as i traded out pav for neon leon, he got subbed but still got a ton!  8) would of been a much better ton if he played on he was whoring it up accross half back.
and markplow, i wish i traded in fyfe myself! might be a bit pricey next year but i think he is worth it from the start. he is a genuine gun!  trading in mummy after swans last bye has been sweet as well

I had i trade left and went for HARVEY to replace Pav. Gets me a dirty 40!
I had Mitchell opp didnt! I had no cover on my bench either!
I had both Gibbs and Judd on the pine!
Opp had Mumford....i had Bailey!
All his POD'S smashed me....i only matched up on him with I Smith/Mzungu vs Broughton/Rioli!
I had Pops & Lower ( forced to play them ).

In the end i lost by 100, if Mitchell had played and Boomer had got atleast 65 i would have been in a GF!

Will also apply the same plan next season:

No Mid price risky players....eg Everitt

Will go for a Premium/Rookie team......for the exception of 2-3 mid price players eg: Cotchin or Yarran.

Hows this for one

I lost my Semi (the one i care about) by one point

5 minutes before lockout i take the big C from Pendles and put it on Cox!

Looking forward to 2012  :D
