Fortunately I had trades/cover for the injured Freo and rested Hawthorn players so I wasn't a bridesmaid this year (Mitchell being rested in the pre-lims cost me some GF appearances though).

Looks like we had 13, maybe 14 active coaches this year and we lost by 4K so a fully active league would have given us our rightful numero uno league spot  ;D

definitely, i noticed 16th was 6,000pts adrift of 15th... we went down by about 4,000pts

i went chasing overall early and i was down to 7 trades by round 12ish :o not my normal strategy but got to finals with 5...

Poor effort guys - making pitiful excuses and not even having the class to give some respect to the league that basically took you to the cleaners and won without breaking sweat...you need to rename your league next season as Pontings Disciples ....you never know, we might even try a bit of research next season - I hear this Ablett fella might be some player one day..

Look forward to next season - we might put the reserves out  :)
