Okay, looking for advice and ideas for my final two trades! Do or die this week against a tough opponent ranked in the top 500 overall.

Have 2 trades and 239k in the bank thankfully. Team line up as it will stand this week as follows.

Backs: Goddard, Deledio, Fisher, Birchill, Broughton, Enright, Puopolo (Gibbs, Talia, Toy)

Mids: Pendlebury, Swan, Priddis, Ablett, Hodge, Montagna (Prestia, Jacobs, Mullet)

Rucks: Cox, Mumford (Keefe, Tippet)

Fwds: Goodes, Okeefe, Franklin, Chapman, Petrie, Davis, Sylvia (N.Riewoldt, Green, Richardson)

Basically, the bolded players are those under consideration for trade.
Thinking of going Broughton > Gibson/Suckling, only downside being it would leave me with 5 hakws players this week!
& Sylvia > Jonhson
If I get bock for broughton cannot afford jonhson in the forwards, but could still get fyfe (thinking he could struggle this week tho)

Another option would be Broughton > Bock
then switch sylvia to the midfield (meaning I play N Roo in the forwards) and trade Sylvia to a mid under 518k such as Thomas, Boyd, Swallow, Thompson, giving me montagna (who im not that confident on having out there) as back up in case any of my mids miss.

Just throwing ideas around at the moment untill teams come out but trying to figure out what would work best so any ideas would be great.

I like Boyd...but I think you'll spend a lot of time worrying for no benefit unless you wait for teams.

There will be a spate of 'general soreness' which may make your decision making a lot easier.

Also maybe Sylvia to Harvey.

Ringo

Wait for Team announcements but these 2 trades will give you a lot of flexibility with DPP
Prestia to Fyfe (Mid ForwardDPP)
Sylvia to Bob Murphy (Def Forward DPP with Talia)
Cost of trades $229k

Can you post your oppositions team this week.

Broughton definitely has to go.  Bock or Birchall would be ideal candidates depending on funds needed to facilitate 2nd upgrade.

If you can win this week and avoid the 2nd trade, that would be the ideal situation.

Opponents side is as below before trading this week. I know he has three trades so expecting him to double trade.

Backs: Goddard, Deledio, Fisher, Birchill, Broughton, Hurn, Stanley (Gibbs, Newman, Clarke)

Mids: Pendlebury, Swan, Priddis, Ablett, Selwood, Boyd/Rockliff (Bewick, Calinan)

Rucks: Cox, Mumford (Gawn, Tippet)

Fwds: Fyfe, Goodes, Franklin, Johnson, Chapman, Petrie, Riewoldt (Pavlich, Sylvia, Butcher)

He has to broughton in the backline to avoid a 0. Not sure whether he will then trade newman/gibbs to avoid playing stanley, or sylvia/pav to avoid playing one of roo/petrie.

jesus christ how many premium forwards does he have.

He won't trade Stanley.  The logical thing for him to  turnNewman into Bock.and bench Broughton.

charliesheen

I would go Bock & Cloke if I were you.

dmac07

Yeah I was thinking Newman to Bock/Suckling or similar. Then he either trades Gibbs/Stanley. Or, pav/sylvia to someone like davis in the fwds so he can bench roo or petrie for cover/petrie to the rucks.

Unfortunately he finished top of our league then lost week one and crossed into my half of the draw!

I think choosing the right premiums you are going to play is going to play a big part.

I have a feeling ROK is going to be badly tagged.  He has an average of 75 at Skilled Stadium.  Hello Cameron Ling.

Petrie I'm also not too sure against Saints, record is not great against them.

Nick Riewoldt :(

Then you have Brad Green against GCS, think he might be an interesting risk to take.  With Sylvia out of the side surely he won't be sub.

dmac07

Yeah I think I agree, leaning towards Bock and Clock. The pies players that are out there should really dominate this week against a depleted freo.

Yeah very tought decision on playing two out of  Okeefe, Riewoldt, Petrie and Green, will probably stick with okeefe, and gut says one out of petrie and roo will do well, but I have no idea which one! Green more than capable of a 100-110 as well.

charliesheen

ROK has been averaging about 85, the last 5 matches.  Against the Saints, he was tagged early out of the game, before he moved onto Goddard.  Averagings only 75 @ Skilled Stadium, I expect Cameron Ling to go to him

Nick Riewoldt averages 140 against the Roos.  He scored 90 against them in Round 15.   Saying that he only averages about 82 in the last 5 matches.  Normally kicks 1-2 goals in the first quarter than does absolutely nothing.

Saints are not Petries favorite opposition.  I think NTH have a poor record against them head to head in general.

Brad Green is in terrible form, but this has to do more with the coaching staff wanting him to play further up the ground.  I expect this to situation to be rectified against GCS, especially with Sylvia out.  The game is also at the MCG.
