OK will be doing my last non-emergency/injury trade tomorrow. 4 trades left and $210K. Ranked 1st in league and play Crawf in first final so not expecting to need to play 2nd final  ;D

Current team is:

Gibbs, Goddard, Deledio, Broughton, Enright, Murphy, Heppell <Lower, Stanely, Talia>

Pendlebury, Swan, Judd, Ablett, Priddis, Boyd <Mzungu, Smith, Wallis>

Cox, Jamar <Derickx, Tippet>

Pavlich, Fyfe, Rioli, Goodes, N Roo, Higgins, Sylvia <Petrie, Dahlhaus, Lynch>

I have a spare Fwd to cover Petrie this week and can move Fyfe up to cover Judd week 3.

But to complete my team this week I will bring in Fisher to replace either Heppell, Lower or Stanley. At first Heppell seemed the obvious choice with the grand final bye. But in week 3 of the finals I will need cover for Gibbs and Essendon play Port at Etihad - so Heppell seems the best on to put on the ground then. My fear is I get unlucky and need to play two of my back bench in the Grand Final.

Runs home:

Heppell <Dogs (Etihad), WCE (Pattersons), Port (Etihad), Bye>
Stanely <Lions (Gabba), Adelaide (GC), Melbourne (MCG), Hawks (GC)>
Lower <Carlton (Pattersons), North (Etihad), Pies (Pattersons), Dogs (Etihad)>

Keeping in mind I almost certainly wont need any of them for the first two weeks.

I am leaning towards Lower -> Fisher. Which lets me play Heppell V Port in 3rd week as cover for Gibbs. Anyone want to convince me otherwise?

#1
Heppel to go.  and play Stanley vs Melbourne

with 1 bye to go it makes sense to axe him.  rookies are unpredictable theres no guarantees.

I. Smith scored 59 against Gold Coast
Puopolo scored 69 against Gold Coast, yet gets 90+ against Collingwood & Hawks.
Mzungu tonnes it up against the Saints.

never know what your gonna get!

I think Stanley out as he has a higher BE and both Lower and Heppell should increase in value.

A few extra dollars can be quite important now.

Good luck.

Griffo1982

Flip Heppel, GF bye seals the deal & as Charlie said Stanley v Melbourne is just as good as Heppel v Port

I would be tempted to go Stanley to Fisher based on averages for the three. You will have Lower or Heppell to cover Gibbs and Enright if required.
Would also be tempted to go Jamar to Goldstein for prelim. Still leave you 2 trades.

I think you are underrating Stanley/Lower a bit, especially considering Heppel has a bye.

Last 5/10 round means

Stanley - 86.40/80.10
Heppel - 80.60/75.90
Lower - 89.80/82.60

hmm perhaps you are all right about Heppell. And yeah upgrading Jamar is on the cards if enough trades (or he isn't named!).

And why has this been moved to Rate my Team ?!?! It is clearly a Player and Trade question. I couldn't give a stuff about how you rate my team - but if I didn't post my full team it would have been the first question asked!

How do I move it back to Players and Trades??

charliesheen

just go with your gutt mate.  bombers will be pushing for the 8, and I have my doubts about Heppel being rested.

bombers also love ES, and they play PA there.

theres not much in it, I would prefer you keep stanley/lower.  you might lose 10-15 points if heppel does well.  but going by the last 5/10 round averages you would have to back stanley/lower.

hatta

I'd be keeping lower, I know Heppel is performing better, but theres no point trading out another bloke with no byes since Heps does..

ended up trading out Lower, which turned out to be a stroke of genius (so far...) with him scoring 10!  :D
