Trade thoughts

Def- Goddard, Deledio, Fisher, Gibbs, Broughton, Adcock, Lower (Otten, Jacobs, Howard)
Mid- Pendlebury, Swan, Boyd, Bartel, Ablett(If named), rok (Mundy, Iles, Hibberd)
Ruck- Cox, Sandilands(If named) (Smith, Bailey)
Fwd- Goodes, Pavlich, Chapman, Franklin, Higgins, Brennan, Smith (Mzungu, Jroo, Richardson)

Have 3 trades left and $58,100.

Now, finished top 4 in both leagues and playing 2 very good teams who have peaked at the right time. I was thinking that if mundy is named, then he would be in my midfield and i would sub rok with mzungu and put smith on the bench. I would then upgrade otten to Suckling, as from what i have looked at he is the best player that i could afford.

However, if mundy isnt playing then i would most likely downgrade someone around the $300k mark to a rookie and upgrade iles to priddis/mitchell (or other) and then do the backline upgrade either week 2 or 3 of finals depending on if i win, and if not then who im playing.

Don't really want to trade lower as he is really good cover and i have gibbs not playing week 3. So is this a good idea or is there something else better that i have missed?

yeah i know i need trades but i looked at the draws and if i lose im still playing really good teams. wish i finished either 1st or 4th instead of 2nd/3rd. got the unlucky draw playing against the better teams  :(

Also, im pretty sure higgins is playing, had a bye last week. if he isnt i can just play smith/mzungu/jroo anyway

You have good coverage - Check your opponent team and trade to strengthen if required.

If extra cash needed I would go Hibberd to Andreoli gets you $200k cash and maintains the DPP.

2 trades with $258k cash for upgrades where needed.

You can cover most with DPP although I would be worried about covering Gibbs with Otten or Jacobs so maybe one upgrade there.

just checked and both of my opponents have birchall so suckling good gain me some points or lose some, but if i dont upgrade then unless lower and adcock and broughton fire my backline will lose to both. if mundy plays then my mids should be about the same and my fwds are a bit stronger in both leagues. rucks same as well. so getting a last premium defender would give me a great advantage barring injuries/terrible games.

Being a Qldr can you afford Bock - Really liked his game on the weekend in a well beaten side and in fact his last 5 games are averaging 104.  Hopes he scores 100+ against us on the weekend but looses the game!!!

Unfortunately no. if i get rid of otten then suckling is pretty much the only premium option, and would leave me with about $800  :)
If i were to trade lower, then a few others like birchall and enright would come into the picture, but enright has a finals bye and to be honest i dont mind if i get suckling or birchall but i would prefer to keep lower rather than otten. saying that, otten will probably pull out a 100-120 score if i trade him this week

If mundy plays, he will likely be the sub.  Id make sure he is listed on the ground before bringng him on.
