so here's the situation I'm in. I need some advice on which TRADES to make to improve!
at the start of the year I was looking for something interesting to do I'n sc as my team had been completed way before opening lockout. I decided to make a second team full of rookies and 2 prems in position leaving me with about 3 mil left I'n the kitty. the idea was to wait a few weeks until the first rookies maxed out such as curnow etc and trade straight to prems and hopefully by round 14 would have a full team of prems and go for a weekly top ranking until the end of the season.

this is how I turned a team of rookies into a team of premiums :)

Gibbs, Enright, Suckling (half rookie) Duigan, Toy, Heppel, Stanley, Lower, McKernan, Watson
Bartel, Swan, Curnow, Mzungu, Liberatore, Swallow, Harris, Savage, Bennel
Cox, Ryder, Smith, McCauley
Pavlich, O'Keefe, Archer, Tapscott, Krakouer, Darling, Dixon, Richardson, Prestia, Matera

Round 5
Archer > Franklin

Round 8
Curnow > Pendlebury
Duigan > Fisher

Round 9
Swallow > Boyd
Matera > Goodes

Round 10
Toy > Adcock
Tapscott > Fyfe

Round 11
Liberatore > Murphy

Round 12
Harris > Ablett
Stanley > Deledio

Round 13
Krakouer > Sylvia
Darling > Harvey

By now my team was pretty much done and I had 10 trades left for underperforming prems, LTI's and gambling problems.

Round 15
Adcock > Newman

Round 16
Bartel > Chapman (looking back on this I think I just felt the need to make another trade!)

Round 17
Shaw > Goddard

These 17 trades leaving me with -
Deledio, Newman, Fisher, Gibbs, Goddard, Enright, Suckling, (Lower, Watson, McKernan)

Pendlebury, Murphy, Boyd, Ablett, Chapman, Swan, (Savage, Mzungu, Bennel)

Cox, Goldstein, (Smith, McCauley)

Pavlich, Fyfe, Goodes, O'Keefe, Franklin, Sylvia, Harvey, (Richardson, Dixon, Prestia)

So with suckers and buddy out in round 17 I brought I'n lower and prestia. Luckily for me both decided to have great weeks. especially lower! This team gave me my best score of 2605 with Pendles captain and a weekly ranking of 181!

So I guess if any of you have made it this far my question is how on earth can I improve this team to get to ranking number 1!? Still have 7 trades and cash is no issue!

put petrie in just for this week lol

Would not consider Petrie. You have too much exposure to Finals byes already.
Watson/McKernan to Broughton (Extra Prem you can rotate and cover byes for Gibbs and Enright
Savage/Bennell to Hodge/Priddis gives you the extra Premium and covers byes for Murph and Chapman
Dixon/Prestia to Rioli or Cloke another forward premium to cover byes of Harvey
Still leaves you 4 trades for finals. Keep 1 for Upgrading rucks should Smith start to be rested as part of GC Policy.  Bear in mind he is still only 20 so big ask to keep going.
If trades done going into finals your team would look like
Backs: Deledio, Newman, Fisher, Gibbs, Goddard, Enright, Suckling,  Broughton, Lower, Watson/ McKernan)
Mids: Pendlebury, Murphy, Boyd, Ablett, Chapman, Swan, Hodge/Priddis Mzungu, Savage/Bennel)
Rucks: Cox, Goldstein, Smith, McCauley (May need additional cover in due course)
Forwards: Pavlich, Fyfe, Goodes, O'Keefe, Franklin, Sylvia, Harvey, Rioli/ClokeRichardson,Dixon/ Prestia

Unusual Strategy but developed into strong Team - Can I ask where you are placed overall and in league. With this Team now and 4 trades still to come you are in enviable position to win League at least.

overall ranked 150k as my first rounds I'n the comp were 1500-1800 scores. I'n my league I'm 7th because of my last 6 big scores all
being wins. also a couple of lucky weeks at the start having a few wins aswell. shouldnt lose a game now so top 4 is almost a certainty.
