Darren Jolly "illness" is last thing I need playing league leader, with me needing to win to hold onto 4th place! AND my back up ruckman Lobbe has a f#@king bye!

I have 4 trades and $234k

Backs: Goddard, Broughton, Newman, Deledio, Gibbs, Taylor, Gibbs (Heppell, Toy, Thompson)
Mids: Ablett, Swan, Pendles, Judd, Hodge, Cotchin (Mzungu, Jacobs, Didak)
Rucks: Cox, Jolly (Lobbe, Derricx)
Forwards: Franklin, NRoo, Rioli, Stevie J, Pavlich, Goodes, Sylvia (Smith, T Lynch (GC), Richardson)

I was planning on trading Heppell out for Fisher, and keeping 3 trades, but now I'm thinking of trading Mzungu out for Petrie as well, and using MPP to swap him with Lobbe which would leave me 2 trades and $10k.

Do you think the Heppell > Fisher AND Mzungu > Petrie are a good trades? I know Petrie has a finals bye but hopefully Jolly is over his illness by then. Just my luck that my back up ruckman Lobbe has a bye the week Jolly is ill!

Prospector - please don't move my thread, this isn't a rate my supercoach, I'm just providing team info to assist in getting back some trade guidance!

Jolly to Mumford (13k) or McEvoy (125k)

Then Heppell to Fisher next week (Fisher has a B/e of 174.

Hmmm, to be honest I didn't think of Mummy, was more thinking of covering Jolly during this week as I don't think it is a long term absence. Is he fully fit? Do you think he has better scoring potential than Petrie?

Due to lack of trades, I thought that Petrie also gives me some more flexibility with his DPP status, and will allow me to cover ruck or forwards without trades later on of I get desperate (which with only 4 trades left I am to be honest)

Thoughts on my strategy> Merit or moronic??!

Ringo

Good thoughts if you want to go that way. I would be more tempted to go Smith to Petrie though with him possibly being cut and Mzungu playing every game. (wait on Team announcements tomorrow and then pick the trade)
If you do not have to win games to stay in the 8 I would be tempted to then sit and wait for finals. You have no exposure to Bulldogs in last round and next week is a non league round rather than doing the Fisher trade and leaving you with only 2 trades.

Yeah, good call. I think I'll prob go Smith > Petrie, then wait a week or so to do the Heppell > Fisher trade. With Fisher having a BE of 174 and a league bye next week, I can prob hold off. Although do you think Fisher will carve it up vs the Crows?? Knowing my luck he will get his BE and not drop in value, plus my opponent has Fisher.

Ringo

Even if he gets B/e price will not change much anyway.
