Overhyped Letdowns

Hey guys, so i thought id just lighten it up and see who people think have been the biggest letdowns this year....

For me Josh Toy, Cameron Richardson and Brandon Matera I have owned throughout periods of time this year and the massive preseason hype got me interested and they have been very disapointing. Especially Josh Toy....he was rated a chance to win the Rising Star from memory and i originally picked Cam Rich over Darling because he was hyped to be a huge player of the half back line. I wish I got the memo that Shane Savage and Liam Shiels were gonna be so big!

Wow so +1 on the Richardson hype. Wasn't he almost touted as a 'keeper' preseason? LMAO! He still sits on my bench sulking away, or maybe that is me sulking :) Andy Otten was the other one that most people traded out when he got injured and was only averaging minimal points. He has significantly improved on his return. Daniel Harris has been pretty disappointing after his good start, can't even seem to get a run at the moment. Just IMO

I think Stefan Martin (Melb) would have been the rookie I would have loved to have from the start. In a year where backlines have struggled he would have been very helpful and made some nice cash.

Pre-season all i heard was what baragains Liam Anthony and Mitch Morton were.

Glad  i didn't pick up either of them!
Looking at their prices they should be even better bargains next year. :P

the guy who is leading my league started with stefan martin, shiels, savage, darling, mcevoy and fyfe

he has still got all of them

so jealous only started with shiels out of that whole bunch

Rookie wise definitely Cam Richardson, Matera, Dixon and Prestia after his first 100 :P
Ryder/Jolly are both on my list this year. I picked Jolly thinking he'd smash it, then he didn't and got injured, so I went for an "in form" Ryder who then started to spud up.

Not that I had him, but Gaff the super-sub was a bit of a letdown IMO!

yeah

had ryder, traded foley to tom liberatore in round 2, broughton at start of year, and picked dixon over darling because dixon was their smokey gun from last year in vfl but he was terrible

didnt have them but all the people getting on rhys palmer, dayne beams and adam cooney preseason

yeh i had gaff in my team before round 1 and thankfully traded him out before the year started because hes been a dud and i 2nd the prestia/atley combo, prestia was an extremely high draft pick and while hes shown signs..still been mostly disappointing.

i cant believe i chose judd over marc murphy at the start of the year, although judds been good..murphy wow

last minute swap from curnow to GAFF in my side... only to trade and get curnow in and keeping GAFF cause i thought he would 'come good' pff  >:(

I don't have Atley but geez some fairly ordinary scores. Cunnington was supposed to set it alight this year & has shown much.

Gaff probably the only one at this stage i might consider....maybe....
