Ermaz, thanks for making my desicion harder. I'm stuck between GAJ and Pav now. My opponent has a slightly better team than i do, i'm leading the league, he doesn't have GAJ but has Pav. Pav could be unique, but i think he due for a downer.

Similar situation here. I'm going safe and going for Ablett. He is very likely to get a score around 110 - 130.
Pav could get a huge score, but also has every chance of "only" getting 80-90.
At worst I think you're losing about 15 points by choosing GAJ but Pav could lose you 30-40.

you make a valid point alka, i guess its all about the uniqueness and the chance that he could get that 140 against gold coast

But think of it this way: If Pav gets 140, you're not going to be disappointed that you didn't have him captain assuming your captain still gets about 110. You'd have to be pleased with still having a 140 scorer in your team. However, if Pav gets 80 and he is your captain, you're going to be very unhappy.
I can't see GAJ getting under 100 so I don't think there's nearly as much chance for disappointment. And nobody likes being disappointed.

Go have a look at when Ablett has played against Freo and see how he goes against Ryan Crowley, Crowley normally keep GAZ rather quiet!!

pav in his 250th against the point leaking suns. locklocklocklock

+1

+2. I'd only just have Murphy ahead of him as the best captain for this week, due to bad weather in Perth this week (could clear by tomorrow but unlikely).

Gaz scores last season against Freo: 117, 130. Crowley doesn't affect him too much, and Gaz has gotten some big scores at Subi/Pattersons. I actually think that Harves might throw a curveball and give Palmer the job, at least for a little while. He did a great job on Power last week, and Palmer has to find his role in the team if he wants many more games this season. Shutdown man might just be that role.

Whoever did put the C on Pav this week good work! 72 points halfway through the 2nd quarter! Carving it up!

I think Gaz might be doing slightly better though...
