Darcy has officially given up on his AFL dream after a bad run of injuries that he just couldn't break.

Unlike the older Daniher generations, he isn't as physically reliable, having groin issues and also osteitis pubis. Shame to see any player with talent as such leave the game at such a young age.

Very unfortunate, loved him as a player could play well at either end and i was sure he would be a star. Those injuries however have just not gone away.

Sad to see him go... I gave up on him getting a break a long time ago though so not surprised has been rumoured for a while and he would probably have been delisted :-\ Hopefully Joe can live his dream for him >:D

Real shame. Him along with Hurley, Pears, Gumbleton(another lost cause), Myers etc were supposed to be the new generation of essendon.
