Lockyer or Shaw?

Third string defender under $363,600

i've narrowed it down to Heath Shaw or Tarkyn Lockyer?
which of these two magpie do you guys think will be the better pie in 09?

any other suggestions?

Definately Lockyer. Shaw will do o.k this year but he is terribly inconsistent and opponents know that he cannot deal with a tag. Lockyer's pre-season form has been outstanding. He is fit and raring to go. He averaged over 100 a couple of years back. I'm tipping him to average in the mid  90's this season.

Both have potential for huge scores IMO but consistancy may be a concern.

Shaw as we saw last year didnt handle a tag very well and his points fluctuated as a result.

Lockyer is getting long in the tooth and sometimes gets a run with job which affects his points.

Neither will be unique players in '09 but if I was go with them i would have Lockyer DT and Shaw SC.

What was the reason for Lockyer's severe drop in his average last year.  He averaged 101 in 2007 I think.
