If you haven't got a win in the season just come vs Kangaroos because we'll give you one even if you're a terrible team. FFS I wish we drafted Darling, Atley is turning out to be a spud and I'm not realising why he fell out of the top 10. I'm so sad atm this is pathetic, we're not even improving over last season...

I'm very angry too, but these sort of games happen. We are a better team than this, and we can get over this. Out high draft picks will all come good eventually, give them time. Give us time. It will all be good. I hope.

yeah i have no idea why we got another mid when we desperately need another forward, if darling played for the roos he would be pushing to be our go to forward.

Petrie and Darling would have been a good combo :P
Darling is turning out to be a really good player, and we knew he had it. He was going to a top 15 maybe top dozen pick but he stopped growing when he was to short to be a KPP but to tall to be a small forward. That and his off field antics.

Not really sure but from what I've seen Atley isn't the best kick so to me that screams inside mid. Meaning he will pick up after he has some preseasons under his belt **don't hold me to that**

roo boys!

Yeah Atley will come good. Give him some time to develop and he will be great :)

Atley will be fine, if you actually watch him and his positioning and reading of the play you would realise this.

What we lack is outside pace, you can teach a kid to dispose of the ball better, you cant teach the natural ability to read the ball in flight and how play is unfolding, Hansen is the perfect example of this, quite often in the wrong part of the fwd 50.

Our biggest problem are lazy players who put in for a quarter then stop putting in second, third and 4th efforts.

I would rather a kid whose skills need a bit of work that makes continual efforts to win the ball than the the guy with good disposal skills that is lazy.

Young players will be inconsistent, but effort needs to be high at all times.

So, if youre a true roo stop potting players who are yet to prove themselves and start looking at the whole picture as to why the performances arent what we'd like, stick fat with em in the down times otherwise you have no right to enjoy the good times.

North Melbournes Finest

Stick fat with them through the down times? I've been a member every year since I was born, and considering I was too young to really enjoy the 90's, I've pretty much only seen down times...

I just want to know why all these guys we draft really high don't pan out to what they're expected.

Ziebell (injuries have hampered him sure, but he doesn't get much of the ball when he's fit to play)
Cunnington (Not sure...what he's doing)
Atley (Hasn't had much time he'll get better)
Hansen (wtf?)
Daniel Wells (I'll admit he's been fantastic this year though)
A couple others.

I just am not sure if our list development officers are doing their job correctly, we have a great crop of young guns who just don't seem to be getting a lot of development.

roo boys!

Ziebs only issue is fitness, and he has been working EXTRA hard on his running at training, him and a handful of younger guys have been spending hours each week running to get their fitness up. I am certain Ziebs fitness will be back up high soon, and he will be able to play full games out and thus get more of the ball.

As much as Hansen is maligned, and I must admit I have done it before, he does his job and takes a fair bit of pressure off Petrie up forward. Can take a grab. Does need work on his kicking though.

Cunners and Ats (now nicknamed Humphrey Bear!) are still young, and I know this excuse is used a lot, but give them a bit of time to develop and adapt to the game. Look at Watts, a lot of people were quick to question his recruition at #1, but his body is developing more and more and this year he has started to play quite well and deliver results.

How can you say Wells wasn't a good draft pick? At times he may have been inconsistent but he is a superstar, and I'm not just talking about this year's form.
