Memphistopheles

After some careful thought i’m starting to think mpp players are even more crucial this year.
Which means one of my trades this week will be Matera ---> Smith or Lower ---> Jacobs.
Here’s what I’m thinking about my bench this year â€" it’s a little unconventional so i’m interested in others opinions.
At this stage i’m thinking my midfield line is going to be Boyd, Swan, Pendles, Selwood, Hodge (unique I know, Mundy if I chicken out) and Ablett.
However, I think I want to essentially have eight midfield premiums, with the other two having mpp to def and fwd.
For the purposes of this explanation let’s say the other two players I am looking at would be Gibbs (mpp mid/def) and Chapman (mpp mid/fwd).
Before anyone says it is a waste of money let’s look at it how this would work out (Assuming I had the 8 mid prems from this round, which I don’t)
Round 10: Gibbs mpp to def to cover for Heppell.
Round 11: Gibbs for Lids, Chapman for J Roo
Round 12: No-one (no Port players). Heppell and Petrie made emergencies in my def and fwd for Gibbs and Chappy to start.
Round 13: Gibbs and Chappy stay in mids to replace Swan and Pendles. However, as I plan to get Pendles after this bye I only have one of them so Gibbs mpp to def to cover for Heater.
Round 14: Gibbs for Goddard, Chappy for Riewoldt.
Round 15: Petrie goes to rucks to cover Cox and Chappy to forwards.
Round 16: Chappy covers for Pavlich, Gibbs covers for Mundy.
Round 17: Chappy for Franklin.
Round 18: No-one (Port again). Same as before.
Round 19: Gibbs for Deledio/Adcock and Chappy for Goodes/J Roo (No mids missing this week so two rookies play).
Round 20: Gibbs or Chappy covers for Boyd.
Round 21: Gibbs for Rawlings. Chappy for Petrie.
Round 22: Gibbs covers for Selwood/Enright.
Round 23: Gibbs bye, Chappy mpp to fwds most likely.
Round 24: Gibbs covers for Heppell.
On rounds where one or none of the prems are needed to cover I have the luxury of choosing my best 7 def and mids for that week. Most likely Gibbs and Chapman will be in these and players like Petrie and Heppell will ride the pine.
It will get a bit tricky in rounds 22 and 23, however that is assuming I pick Chapman and Gibbs as the two extras. And i still should have some trades to use, which could help.
The key to this strategy is to have the mpp links through the rookies so emergencies look like this.
Def: Jacobs, Hibberd, Another mpp def/mid rookie.
Mid: Gibbs, Chapman, Prestia (highly unlikely he will ever start another game for me with this strategy).
Fwd: Smith, Krakouer, Mzungu.
And my completed fwd and backs will read:
God, Lids, Rawlings, Enright, Adcock, Shaw, Heppell
Goodes, Franklin, Pavlich, N. Riewoldt, J Riewoldt, Petrie and Sylvia/Knights/J Brown/Harvey. As you can see I’m undecided on the last forward spot.
Any trades to be made once the team is complete will only be if a premium gets injured.
