Like many have petrie sitting in my rucks and Knights in my forward line. I would like to upgrade one, but not sure who is the better option:

Petrie:

  • looks likely to have higher "highs" but also lower "lows". probably not as consistent but has potential to win league matches on the back of his scores
  • with dual positioning can be used as a backup ruckman during byes

Knights

  • Apart from his 43 looks to be most consistent
  • With the exception of GC i dont think he will have as many "high" scores

Alternatively i could keep both but i think it makes my forwards looks a bit week.

What are your thoughts?

I am keeping knights until he gets injured or is a straight swap for a premium.

I'm going to keep both, both easily best22 and no sub risk; Knights as 7th fwd and Petrie as cover for ruck/fwd, plan to cash in Smith as some point so Petrie allows me to do that with Jippett dpp.

My only problem with playing both Petrie and Knights in the foward line is that darling gets pushed to the bench. and for me he seems to much of a waste to sit on the bench?

Darling is good but not a long term starter imo and Petrie is better for cover as he can cover two lines. Wait for Darling to top out, a couple more weeks and move him to Chappy when he's bottomed out. Happy days  ;)

Good call. I don't have Petrie but I'll hold Knights til the time is right. Went with Knights for the consistency. Petrie would be very handy cover for ruck if you don't have Smith so keep him til you don't need the cover anymore?

I'll keep knights for the season. Will try to upgrade Petrie to Sandi if I have enough trades (doubtful)

keep both, finish upgrading the rest of your positions and do your forwards last :)

would you all agree Knights + Petrie > Darling?

Definitely. Darling is playing well, but I'd prefer Knights and Petrie over him.
