having time on my hands i am doing the ladder predictor on AFL.

i know it is a long way til finals and i want to see how many of the next games we will play.

yes, my expectations now are finals, but not top 4 yet.

anyway.

this is what i have come up with!

Round!
9 - Richmond - LOSS
10- BYE
11 - Melbourne - WIN
12- Fremantle - LOSS
13 - North - WIN
14 - Hawthorn - WIN
15 - Geelong - Loss
16 - Richmond - WIN
17 - Adelaide -WIN
18 - Carlton - WIN
19 - Collingwood - LOSS
20 - Sydney - WIN (only because it's in Melbourne)
21 - Bulldogs - WIN
22 - West Coast - LOSS
23 - Port - WIN
24 - BYE

i think that is realistic, although could someone point out if i am a bit bias? i think i am but i have no clue

now, if this happens, it will leave us with 14 wins which would suprise everyone.

that predition there leaves us 5th or 4th even if Fremantle lose against Bulldogs down here.

a young team does get fatigued and we might lose those matches against maybe Bulldogs, Port normally have the wood on us, and sydney, but the way we are going we could finish quite well on the ladder.

i know this probably won't happen, but those matches there i stated are as realistic as i think.

but if we can have upsets against maybe Geelong or Collingwood even could give us some confidence going into the finals.

AND yes i do believe the next time we play collingwood we would be able to beat them but we would be starting to get fatigued so i wouldn't expect to.

I'm predicting a top 4 next year but this year it is possible. 12 wins is more realistic.

HillHero13

yeah that's why i was saying we might lost against the likes of Dogs or Swans

It is interesting...
I think there are a couple there that we could easily win, for instance Fremantle and Richmond in the next few weeks COULD both be wins. In saying that, I think our young team could tire and leave us losing in rounds 18-22...Older guys out really doesn't help. No doubt the AFL probably didn't think we'd make finals, so that is probably a big part of the reason we got the R24 bye. Doesn't help at all for a push for finals.

Should be interesting, still not sure if we are really top 4 contenders, or if we will fall down. We could lose a lot of those games when you look at it :\

roo boys!

When's the last time we won in W.A? I'd love to say without Sandi we will win but Subi has been nothing but losses in recent history. :(

Exactly! They need to do something different when they go interstate. Been to the games the last 3 years ... and its amazing cause essendons largest supporter base outside of Victoria is in W.A.... yet as above the Dons do play like sh*t when their on the road (especially against freo/WCE/Adel)
