South Australians on the western coast of Eyre Peninsula call them Crayfish, however they are actually West Australian Rock Lobster. This monster was caught off Highcliff near Streaky Bay in SA.

My brother in law used to be a Cray fisherman out of Streaky and so did his old man, and he used to run to school to avoid being sent to school with Crayfish sandwiches. ;D
A number of times I have had Christmas dinners at my wife's family farm and we have sat together at one end of the table eating two or three Cray's between us whilst the other dozen or more family guests have been hoeing into the roast chook, pork etc. at the other end of the table. They had just grown tired of Crayfish  :o

These days with my bro in law not fishing anymore it has become a favourite again as the family is not so saturated with it (He has a licence for a couple of pots still). Never complain about the price of it people, it is hard, dangerous work to secure a catch  ;)
