Curnow is a gun rookie we all know that, but if the aim is to get a team of premiums, and with their prices getting closer, and one of the bulldogs byes gone, and the fact i have 4 carlton players in the side (murhpy, duigan, yarran and Curnow) is it worth considering this trade?

Higgins also opens up MPP with the forwards as i was a dunce an put both krakour and goodes in the forward lines

IMO Curnow has still cash to make for you before their bye in Round 8 with a b/e predicted for next week of -9 and with another 90+ score will increase another $30k

not a bad idea at all blues have a bye in round 8 so you will be looking to off load the rookies by thn, same with Gold Coast Suns round 9 is when they have their byes...

I think there is plenty of cash cows in 2011 and im temtepto make my first upgrade in round 6 to get ahead of the pack... A lot of teams will have Sandi, PAv, Rioli, Buddy, Chappy, Enright, Bartel etc in their teams for next week

Pies round 7 bye with Swan/Pendles etc

So it makes sense to target upgrade premiums from Swans, Demons, Dogs etc as they have had a bye and you effectivelly make 100-120 points overall

I'd be looking at Duigan for the trade or Yarran if he doesn't pull up well.  Curnow will be the last guy to make way for a premium in my team as he is very consistent.  MPP is valuable to have but Higgins can wait.  He'll be around the 450-500k mark all year.

I'll probably look to trade out Duigan before Curnow myself IMO.

Totally agree about Duigan being the guy to go before curnow, but its also about the added benefit of getting MPP working form mid to forwards (my stupid error)

If it works for your team balance then it might be worth selling him for less... but do you really need that MPP flexibility now or can you wait a week or two?
