good idea or no?

I wanted to get Fyfe in my team for this week but i didnt know how i could get him. One way is to downgrade Goddard to Adcock and then upgrade Krakouer to Fyfe which would keep my dual position in the midfield. I would most likely upgrade someone else to Goddard in the next few weeks, but i'm not sure if its such a good idea. I have $41,700 in the bank at the moment. Can i get a few opinions? :)

Don't get rid of Goddard. Who's in your team that's a struggling "premium" (Broughton, Duffield, etc)?
You could downgrade one of them to a rookie (such as Toy) and then make your upgrade.
Also, Fyfe has already risen a lot in price, do you really want to get him now?

i dont have Duffield or Broughton, by backline premiums are Gibbs, Enright, Grimes and Deledio. I was thinking of dumping Goddard now and then getting him when his price is low, but its pretty risky because his form could turn around at any time.

And it's essentially a waste of two trades to get in Fyfe who you could probably get in with one trade later if you really wanted him. Personally, I'd just hold the trades and hope that Fyfe stops eventually.
Only trade now if you have something you need to fix (such as Broughton) or you're desperate to get someone you've missed.
Maybe there's someone in your forwards/mids/rucks (cough Petrie) that you might wanna downgrade to a rookie and make the upgrade then?

Yeah ive never felt like they are necessary but i thought at first it might work. My only under performing players have been Montagna and maybe Grimes.

Joey *should* smash is against the Lions this week and Grimes, like the rest of Melbourne, is somewhat unreadable. I would probably hold fire on the trade. Seems you don't have any big problems atm so you can use all your trades on downgrade/upgrades to get an awesome team.

Yeah i'm holding onto Joey he should come right hopefully, like the rest of the saints team. I havent used any trades yet so i kind of just wanted to trade someone :P
