My thoughts on Curnow are to keep him for another 1-3 weaks till hes around the 250-300 thousand mark and trade him down, what are peoples thoughts and plans to do with rookies, eg harris, libba, curnow, duigan, darling ???? keep for long run, as emergencies or trading down.

My only worry about trading down is that emergencies are so important this year with the byes, that when we trade down we still need them to play.

Flame

If he keeps getting a ton I won't be trading him!!

pardz

Yer true, but say because i have libba as well and their both round the 250,000 mark would u trade them for a 80,000 grand player who doesnt play or an 150,000 who does. Considering how important emergencies are.

If Curnow keeps scoring tons week in week out, then he will stay in my team - ala Barlow (2010) (unless he gets injured). Could be a nice 7th mid come finals. Otherwise, will wait until he doesn't look like achieving his BE to trade him to a premium.

curnow is out for finals mate. I will be trading out curnow till he reaches his peak pirce, which probably come around round 10, will be picking up pendles or garry with curnow.

bundyboy

well it all depends.....

if he keeps up his 100 average, then yep, he can definatly stay.

otherwise -  around rd 10 there is bound to be a fallen premium to pick up without too much cash required..

He'll be the Michael Barlow of 2011 or else I'll trade him to Gazza in round 10.  :)

What is it with BigV names and comments  of ridiculousness? I can't wait till this guy drops in to 50-60 a game because its going to happen. He is no Barlow... Barlow is like seeing a flying pig, you may see it once but never again.

thanme

Keep him in til he breaks his leg, then a straight swap for GAJ. Easy :P

Ziplock

you never see a flying pig... ever, like not even once. So, maybe not the best use of a simile there :P

look, technically there's no reason why another barlow couldn't happen... curnow is looking like the barlow of 2011, but atm only in the sense he is up for a rocketing price rise due to his low price + high average. However, 100 in the mids... does that really constitute a keeper?

bundyboy

7th mid averaging 100??  I think that's pretty close to a keeper...:)

Bennyy

Yeah if he is averaging 100 week in week out he can stay. Last priority to be upgraded really! Hopefully he keeps it up!

I'll take it!!

McRooster

Lowest curent scoring rookie mid will be upgraded to Mzungu after his second week, don't think it will be Curnow.
