Liam Anthony and Laidler

Gday all,
currently I'm pretty happy with my squad (in the top 700 overall), but I have a few doubts about Anthony and Laidler.
Laidler has been consistently solid with scores of 77, 79, 74, and 81 - but to me that suggests that he won't improve much.
Meanwhile, Liam Anthony has jumped around a bit more with a 73, sub-affected 40, bye, and most recently 98. Their breakevens are 96 - Anthony, and 53 Laidler.

CURRENTLY NO TRADES USED!!

My thinking was to go Laidler -> Toy, who should find a bit more game time with Coad now out for 12; and then also Anthony -> Boyd, who is averaging 130 from his last two games, and has a breakeven sitting at a tempting 83.
Currently I don't have any Bulldogs players (no Libba...  :'( ) so no issues there with byes or whatever.

The issue is that Toy is the only decent backline rookie right now, unless you reckon Hibberd will pull through, and I feel that Laidler needs to go at some stage, so that time needs to be now. But in the midfield, Anthony's form is picking up a bit, and in a few weeks other upgrade options will come up (Judd, M Murphy, J Selwood, Montags), so I'm not sure if I should get Anthony out right away.

Do you reckon both of these are good, or maybe only do Laidler -> Toy this week, and then Anthony -> someone a bit later?
Any thoughts would be good!

Thanks fellas,
Watto

think you should wait on both, if laidler is going to make his be comfortably as his avg suggests no need to dump him this week, he should outscore toy imo, hunt will be dropped soon so he can improve in easier games, bringing about another shuffle of jobs at GC.  Talia from adelaide should be in soon nearly over his injury.  no decent trade for a rookie this week so hold on

meow meow

You are the Gun Fantasy coach - 740th for SC, so you should be giving us the advice.

Btw, 740th isn't in the top 700.

@meow
sorry that was my final rank from last year..  :)
is there any advice that you want?

Nathan, I think that Toy looks a very solid downgrade option. If Laidler keeps his average at 80, he's only got another ~$35,000 to gain, so yeah, a bit of improvement, but not really anything huge.
And that gain is assuming that he doesn't have any poor games where maybe he gets a very defensive job and scores a 50.
Talia could be nice in a few weeks, but apart from him or Hibberd I don't really see anything as promising as Toy

roo boys!

I would stick with Anthony at least for now, but not sure about Laidler.

Anthony could potentially become a keeper.

Yeah I'm gonna hang on to Anthony for a while more, hopefully he pumps out another 90+ this week so I don't have any issues about keeping him next week

Worst part is I'm going away early tomorrow (Thursday) so I won't see any teams, or have a chance for the V-C loophole

roo boys!
