I was always under the assumption i would hold trades as long as possible, but I am realising my ruck is quite weak.

I have:

Mids: Boyd, Selwood, Watson, Judd, Pendelbury, Harris, Swallow, Bewick, Gaff

Rucks: Ryder, Vickery, Keefe, Smith

I was thinking, Selwood out for someone like curnow/libertore, then use the $$ to upgrade Vickery/Keefe to Cox.  That way I could sure up my ruck, and get another cash cow, maybe get selwood later when his price drops.

Opinions?

Wait till after the weekend at least to see how Smith goes. He may ton up and then your troubles will be solved.

im planning on playing ryder and vickery

do you think that wise?  or would you gamble with the new guy in smith?

trading Selwood to pick him up later...not sure about that as you burn 2 trades just to avoid having him on the bench this week, there called keepers for a reason. You have good mid cover so it's only likely to cost you ~40 points not having him on. Selwood will repay the faithful.
You do need to upgrade your ruck division in the medium term but try not to panic trade IMO, see how Smith goes this week. You should be able to trade up by the recommencement of head to heads with a bit of luck. It's a long year.

selwood should be back next week. he prolly would have played this week but with all the innuendos about the concussion rule they decided against it
