Hey guys,

So  alot of true SC players know to have a good year you pick the popular Guns and Rookies. But to have a GREAT year you need to have a hunch for a few "unique" players who won't be in many teams.

This year i picked 2 uniques and i have to say so far i couldn't have done better.

1. Robbie Tarrant ($184,900) in around 5% of teams, scored 119 and looked amazing down back, expecting to go up to around $350,000-$400,000 then upgrade for another gun.

2. Shaun Burgoyne ($484,200) also in around 5% of teams, scored 101, and if previous history is to go off back in his Port days he is capable of averaging about 110. Definite keeper and a solid Premium. Should go to around $550,000 AT-LEAST.

other notables which i know some friends have had so far are Trent Cotchin, Boak, and if anyone could tell me some more that would be great.

Its too early to say.

I think these might be interesting picks, but again too early to tell

Fyfe <-- mid field time
Davis <-- the new bock?
Ryder <-- potentially, dont know yet.
Beams <-- was absolutely killing it until he did his hip

These guys haven't scored well yet but may increase

Robbie Grey
Grundy
shane savage <-- thought he had a good game
Coolin Sylvia <-- will be interesting considering their good draw at the mcg

i am actually surprised that only 25,000 people have sylvia. there was a heap of people saying they were going to get him preseason.

I am too... I was never going to pick him coz he can be so up & down but there were tons that had him...

My unique is Harry Taylor  8) killed it first round but can't really judge who's the best till rd 24 ;)

sylvia is more of a DTer right? i'd have taken green over him for not much more $ and still as unique.

my unique is kelly, got 118, hoping he'll stay there or thereabouts.

Hey, guys, come on, we've only played one round, don't get too excited by your selection prowess just yet.  Give it 5 rounds or so then take an average, if it's over 90 then give yourself a well-deserved pat on the back.

I have Harry Taylor and Fyfe, seem to be fairly unique

If Sylvia has a solid year he will avg more in SC IMO the fact that he got 17 touches and only 1 goal for 114 SC is a very good sign. there have been games in the past were he gets 30+ possesions and 3+ goals and only gets 120-130 SC. Green is more of a DTer than a SCer

thats true, but look at melbourne draw.

Another interesting thing that most people don't know is SC has changed the clanger scoring system.  Now its only -4 points for a clanger.  so this will have a positive impact on ppl like

S. Johnson and Sylvia in terms of scoring potential becuase they are not going to be as penalized in previous years.
