Converting from ballet to rugby is completely different to rugby. For one, he did it when he was young. The other thing is that it would be a lot easier to convert, similar to basketballers having success in our game.
No way will either of them be half what Jimmy was. We know Hunt can play the game but he was in a program which shaped his body as an NRL player. Now, no. Some of the reactions are gone etc.

Hird compared to these converts can:

Kick a drop punt properly
Bounce the ball
Can last more that 3quarters in one match
Is aware that other people are around him
Knows the tactics of footy

Is just trying to create talking points. He is talking up his team who i reckon will fail if they dont do a better job than GC in their consolation picks (the ablett, rischitelli picks etc..)

Ablett and Rischa were not fails...Albeit they should have gone with less superstars like Ablett and built a solid 22...

Anyway, both are going to be at a disadvantage as when WCE, PA, Freo & the Crows entered they were able to pull some of the best WAFL/SANFL players which helped, especially Port.

Rischitelli is never a fail. Coming off a career season, I think he made the right move considering his situation at Lions. The lack of Key Forwards/Backs are really showing for the Suns.
