Just heard on triple M from Mark Riccuito that he has word Kane Cornes and Daniel Pearce will be dropped for this weeks showdown :o

Ol' Graham 'Studley' Cornes didn't sound too surprised tonight on his drive time sports show. Pter Rohde explained it as 'no teams really use a tagger anymore with all the zone presses etc. and as good as Kane is at retarding his opponent around a stoppage it is the fact that he hasn't adapted yet to his half back/wing role and learnt properly when to run off his opponenet to create the forward pressing opportunity'

Primus I feel is just raising the bar for the rest of the squad, mandating that no-one is safe!

I believe this is a horrible move. Although taggers are less effect, a GOOD tagger will always do his job, Kane has proved that for so long while still being damaging himself. I don't see why he is dropped if he is still performing on field. Surely he should be back next week.

Wouldn't be suprised if Pearce left. He's too inconsistent and hasn't really shown alot with Port. And this shows just how much a tagger can effect a game/player (and why they are still quite important if used right).

Hurts as a supporter to see Kornes dropped & as the old saying goes "The coach has the final say" & sometimes much to his credit he gets it right. Worked this time to great joy. Hope that Kane does get back tho. IMO anyway
